Great location. Close to beach club/nice water. 8min taxi ride to el centro. Restaurant was a bit over priced for what it was. No free coffee or refills. Coffee was one of those latte, coffee, cappuccino machines all in one (not the best by far).

Everything about this hotel was perfect from the friendly staff, the views, and the breakfast. The staff members gave us some recommendations of things to do around town. I had an amazing back massage at the spa; The Massage Therapist were experienced. I highly recommend this Lagoon Front hotel.

Great access to the lagoon! Staff was excellent and extremely kind ! The food was really good and the rooms were clean and cute.

All the staff, facilities and lagoon A bit difficult to access lagoon for swimming

The staff was exceptional. Very friendly and responsive. Breakfast was good especially the French toast. Overall experience was incredible Breakfast was included in the price of the room but only included eggs, fruit, and toast. A different menu with more food choices was provided for extra cost. It would be nice it the breakfast included in the price provided for more food options

Not necessarily a dislike...But could use a small dresser, we ended up living out of out suitcases. A small table and two chairs inside would be useful for eating. There's only one set of steps to get in and out of the lagoon and they are very slippery. Another set off the front would be helpful. Maybe a little to pricey for Bacalar.

Helpful friendly staff, comfortable bed and beautiful presentation of food Overpriced property that is not good value for the money. Room was bare bones - no pictures on the wall, no hand towels, no lotion or tissues, nowhere to hang wet bathing suit. Our “lake view” room looked out onto trees and shrubs. Too far from centre where restaurants are located (50 min walk) - needed a taxi constantly. Located on lagoon but the ladder at the dock was slimy and dangerous to get out of the water. Overpriced drinks. Boring repetitive breakfast

Location is beautiful!! On Lagoon and walking distance to Cenote Azul. Staff very friendly called us a taxi whenever we needed one. Very quiet and peacefully.

Great hotel right at the lagoon, a little outside of town. The nature was was amazing and the free kayaks/paddle boards are perfect if you want to do a sunrise tour on the lagoon on your own. The staff was very helpful and friendly, would definitely come back! The room was not soundproof, you can hear your neighbours very well.

The staff was very kind, nice and attentive. The location is great. The room is average, nothing fancy. However, the price per night including resort fees and taxes was close to $700 USD per night. Super expensive for what is offered. The air conditioning was leaking water and the pillows were wet in one of the beds. Also pillows not comfortable. There was not even body lotion and no staff came to clean/ refresh the room.

We did expect a little more comfort and luxury in the room considering the price we paid

I loved the quietness and how they landscaped to keep the natural habitant along the shoreline as natural as possible. Also loved the design of the rooms as all have a view of the beautiful lagoon. I loved it. Really nice. And the breakfast included was a well balanced breakfast with fruits and eggs and ham and bread or tortilla. Truly nice Well there isn’t anything I didn’t like but they could improve on the privacy of the massage hut which faces the dining area. Other than that it was really nice location.

Perfect location

Picturesque location and friendly staff. The room was spacious, set up for peak relaxation and had a view of the lake. Loved the mix of the natural beauty of the lake, lily pads and pool! No complaints!

It was well appointed and decorated with high end items and the location was great. The staff was wonderful but were limited with what they could go to help us. The self-serve coffee station, the pool and the quality of the shampoo/soap in the rooms were great. The ductless mini split was blowing out black mold and chemicals to hide it. The food was not gourmet (they had a very limited kitchen and a limited ability to accommodate my gluten allergy). Their “restaurant” was about a dozen tables under a shaded roof next to the “spa.” Their “spa” is a tent next to the “restaurant” with a few massage tables, a portable ice tub and the “jacuzzi” is in the spa tent. This is not a $350/night hotel. It’s a $150/night hotel. Their advertising stretches the truth and we left halfway through our stay because the chemicals and mold were so bad. They said it was “general” for the area. We went to the luxury hotel next door (Amainah) and got ALLL of our needs met for less money.

Location, location, location! Right on the waters with direct access to lagoon and it is one of the few properties that is not on a steep slope. The staff are great and very helpful. The breakfast and restaurant are great - added bonus to delicious complimentary coffee (espresso) throughout the day. The room was nice but not as luxurious as I think the price and name (spa) pre-emps it should be. Though nice and clean, I have been to more nicer rooms elsewhere in our travels throughout Mexico. Also the glass showers didn't necessary work for a family room in terms of privacy. The location of the property - while I very much covet, makes it hard to walk to town - but front desk was very helpful in terms of

The air-conditioning didn't work very well. I had to sleep with my hand held FSN.

Direct access to the lagoon, breakfast and room. Close to some noisy places.

The place is cosy and just perfect for a chill getaway. You can get to use the paddle boards and kayaks till 6 PM. Everything is exactly as the pictures. The breakfast is really good. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful. There’s parking onsite, as long as there are available spots, if not, you just park outside by the gate. Location is great, maximum a 10 min-drive to any restaurant. The breakfast included is just eggs and a fruit platter (plus beverages), I believe this is something that has to be communicated clearly by the property beforehand. There’s only one waiter serving the tables, we felt sorry for him as he kept juggling between orders, the hotel should definitely hire at least one more during this shift. For a 5-star hotel there should be someone helping out with the luggage especially that the ground is covered with gravel. There should also be more toiletries provided.

Good place nice staff To expensive for what it offers The value for money
