Hotel Xa'an Bacalar

The staff was very helpful. They changed our room due to a toilet issue and allowed us to change rooms at our own pace, without any pressure or stress. The hotel is quiet and clean, and the rooftop was very nice. I had a truly smooth experience overall, from check-in to check-out, with clear and easy communication throughout. They also provided fruits and coffee for breakfast, which was a pleasant surprise as I did not expect it to be included. Rooms are very large and the bed was comfortable. Good space It was all good. Just the water pressure in the shower was low but that is a general issue in Mexico.

Very friendly staff, nice and clean room with own bathroom. The common areas were great. Although no breakfast included there was free coffee, toast with peanutbutter and jelly as well as cereals. A bit far outside of the city center, but still Walkable.

The room was nice, with comfortable beds and spacious enough for all your stuff. Pool was nice, with some beds around it to chill. Location is fine, quiet street and 15 min walk to city centre. Shower was not really warm. The breakfast was very limited, with onlg some hard toast and jam, or sugary cereal. If you were 15 min later, the fruit would be gone already.

The fact Inwas leaving Rented a bike from the hotel and got a flat tire. The hotel was informed that Inhad no option then te leave the bike and take a cab. Later they refused to provide another bike and told me I had to pay for a new bike. When I refused, thrbhotel started knockingnat my door at 23:00 at night and at around 24:00 arrived with 5 polige officers, demanding I pay or get teken to jail. WATCH out for this hotel! Apparently it happens quite often

The common areas were really nice and cosy! Breakfast was a plus. The room was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was small so it was calm and quiet. The hotel has a beach club which was included in the price, this was a nice surprise! Although it was quite far away and you needed a bike or a taxi to get there. The water pressure in the upstairs room was almost zero, which made it a little difficult to wash. The hotel offered bike hire, but the bikes were in pretty poor condition and due to the location would have been nice to have them included in the price.

Lovely staff! Clean room! Location is good - less than 10 min walk into centre and 15 min to swimming spot. Would recommend! Water pressure not great but manageable!

- Very large comfortable bed and spacious room - Staff were very friendly and responsive to messages - They offer laundry service for 100 MXN - Walking distance from the bus terminal, and to the centre, restaurants and lagoon (10-20 mins) - Good price compared to other properties in Bacalar - Air conditioner and big ceiling fan in the rooms - Free breakfast (though it was very minimal, we didn’t even bother having any) - Bad water pressure. Shower head just sprays water in all directions, should be replaced - The area around the hotel wasn’t the nicest (though still felt safe) - We could hear workers talking every morning around 7-8am which woke us up. Not sure if they were part of the hotel though, if they were it would have been much appreciated if they didn’t speak so loudly and make so much noise that early

bedroom is spacious and clean, the chill area with hammocks and chairs also really nice. Staff are friendly and helpful water pressure in the shower is quite weak and personally wouldn’t get in the pool, but the place is very good value for money!

Very nice staff and nice bed Nothing

The terrace, the pool, the hosts and the association to the Tropic Beach Club. The shower (poor pressure, heavily calcified), no lights next to the bed, the huge flatscreen (without sny connection) and what happens sometimes in Mexico: some hours without electricity....

Nice place, pretty hotel, comfortable room. The breakfast is a nice, but light which is good in regard to the temperature in the morning already. Water shower is a bit weak in terms of pressure, but it's usual around here. The door let insects pass, I stumbled on a pretty big one during the night.

New hotel with beautiful little courtyard and terrace, the room was spacious, modern and clean. They also offer access to a sister hotel with an absolutely gorgeous view over the lagoon where you can relax and swim, that was a very pleasant surprise. If you have bikes you have to maintain them, you can't give out bikes that are potentially dangerous, so please have some tools ready if necessary ;).

Staffs were kind. Not bad location, not the best though. Breakfast is included but 1. Only apple and bananas and some sweet cereals. 2. Once there was no fruits at all even though it was middle of breakfast time. 3. No staff helping for breakfast. Towels were cut into half. Kind of basic facility.

Amazing place, super nice room and very clean. The staff was very resourceful and friendly. Air cond was a bit dysfunctional, but I guess this can be fixed....

Good value for money ...though you may want to get a bike to get around it you don't like walking as it's a bit far from the center ( though Bacalar is small). Staff was responsive & friendly
