Housekeeping was not automatic, you had to put a sign outside your door if you wanted it, which was annoying. If I’m paying over 500/night it should be automatic. Beds and pillows were lumpy. No full length mirror. Front desk girl was rude when I arrived one hour before check in and informed me the room wasn’t ready, which I did anticipate. I just didn’t appreciate her snippy attitude.

The property is called an "INN" To me that means nicer than a motel. We were disappointed to find that the room looked like a motel room, especially the bathroom. We stayed at other nicer "INNS". This "Inn" was the only place we stayed that had an old motel type tub/shower. Plus they gave us a room in the lower basement level near the laundry room. While the beds were very comfortable and the breakfasts were good, I would never stay there again. It was in a good location but so were other nicer inns Expedia did not recommend apparently because they don't deal with a third party. Wish we would have rather stayed in any of the others. Learned many things I would nevere do again.

We loved the Inn on Mount Desert. It was a great location. Easy for walking to town or driving to the park. Everything was clean. The front porch was lovely to sit on during a rain storm. The kids loved the pool table while they were waiting for the adults to get ready. And everyone loved the breakfast each morning!

The beds were comfortable, the location was great, the food was good. The staff was very accommodating and helpful, but there wasn't enough staff. Most times we needed help, there was a lengthy wait for assistance, either because staff was away from the desk or because they were assisting other guests, but they were always helpful and accommodating! Laundry machines worked but required help from staff because they hadnt been maintained.

The location is excellent, just 8–10 minutes from downtown Bar Harbor. The staff were very helpful, and we really enjoyed the breakfast each morning. There's also a washer and dryer on the property, which is a nice bonus.

Unique layout

Breakfast was good and location allowed us to walk for meals and local activities. There was a nice open air porch that was covered which was nice to have breakfast. Parking was convenient. Mattress was too soft. Not consistent with putting out cookies. One day there were plenty at 6pm, the next day at 4:30pm there were no cookies. Very disappointing. The room was definitely over priced.

The Inn is a beautiful building with a lovely covered porch for breakfast dining. Grounds and gardens are inviting and planted with beautiful perennials and annuals. Love the rocking chairs on the front porch. Location is excellent!! Walkable to downtown and easy access to Acadia National Park. Cookies at 3 pm were a hit. For the price, I felt that the room could be decorated a little more upscale. Towels and bed linens are average. Nice to have a selection at breakfast but food didn’t “wow” me.

Hotel very clean. Rooms had everything you would need. Comfortable beds. Decor in main lobby and living room was older. Could stand some updating.
