This hotel is actually somewhat luxurious, which you notice immediately when you enter the lobby. Very polite and professional staff, security guard, bar, and nice chairs. However it seems that apart from the lobby, the rest of the hotel is somewhat neglected. The actual hotel room was clearly old and hadn’t been renewed in quite a while. There are scuffs and marks on almost every piece of furniture. The towel holder in the bathroom was broken, and it looks like it has been broken for a while already and nobody cared to fix it. There was nobody on the rooftop bar. And the gym is just a tiny room with 3 cardio machines and 1 machine for various exercises. The biggest issue for me in this hotel was my sleep however. There is a pool table in the lobby, and there is an open floor in the center of the tower which goes all the way up, so the rooms are located on the outside of this circle. What that means is that while I’m trying to sleep, I can constantly hear the balls from the pool table in the lobby. I don’t know who thought this was a good idea. I also have never in my life been so dehydrated during my sleep. I suspect there was something wrong with the air conditioner but even after turning it off, I had to wake up and drink water about 6 times every night. The beds themselves are also quite hard and not comfortable.

We really enjoyed our stay. The staff were extremely kind, professional, and helpful throughout our visit. The breakfast was exceptional with a great variety and high quality. The hotel was very clean, and the overall atmosphere was pleasant and comfortable. The location is a bit far from the city center, so it may not be ideal if you prefer to stay in the heart of Barcelona but was fine with us. The room was clean and comfortable, but some design elements felt slightly outdated.

Very, very dirty and nasty place! Zero hygiene! In desperate need of urgent renovation. Leakages everywhere in the bathroom. Cockroaches, mold, dust, hair, stains - everywhere in the rooms. Regarding things that can be modified, the in-room dining service was way overpriced for what we received, apart from the fact that they didn't have what we initially wanted from the menu. The portion was super small and not very tasty. Regarding things that cannot be changed, unfortunately the surroundings of the hotel are not the nicest. Anyway, it's only a few minutes away from different train and metro stations. But, for a solo woman traveller, I would consider this if you need to come back walking alone at night, since everything's very deserted.

Breakfast was good. Customer services, specially the front desk not too helpful and not to please to talk to.

The location was perfect for our purposes. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet each morning. The bed was nice and firm and comfortable. The staff were all friendly. There was nothing I didn’t like.

The building itself was very clean and welcoming. The staff at the desk were super kind and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean. The location was not ideal. It was a little far from all the places we wanted to see in Barcelona and the neighborhood was quiet. The bathrooms also have a see through door, so there wasn't privacy for the family.

Excellent breakfast! By far the best one I’ve had. The variety, the freshness, the quality and taste! Room and bathroom were spacious, bed comfortable, and location good.

The staff was very friendly and helpfull. Olur room was not clean. Even we wanted daily cleaning, dust was floating around and collecting in the corners. The area under the bed was filled with dust

Condal Mar is overpriced, the rooms smelled bad, the lifts barely workerd, the whole place looks like it's crumbling, and the location is basically a block smelling of sewage. All of it for 200 euros, what a deal. The beds. The smells. The view. The weird weird decision to have a transparent door for the toilet. The design. Even the rooftop pool was cold and uninviting.
