It's walking distance from all the major places in Eixample. Arlyn and Tenzin were very welcoming and helpful throughout The Junior reception was actually closed, which is something that wasn't communicated before my arrival, i had to walk with my luggage to the next street to their other entrance (Sunotel Aston) where you then have to drop to the lower floor and walk all the way to the Junior's basement elevator that takes you to the rooms. My room was adjacent to the elevator and it was super loud, it can be heard every time it operates with a loud thud when it stops.

Location
-
It was clean and had good smell The facility is too expensive, very small and inaccessible. It difficult to get to the rooms. The room is extremely small

The bed was a little bit to soft for my wife, for me it was perfect. The AC was a bit iffy, but we managed to get a nice room temp with the window.

A bit renovations e.g bathroom can improve the services. Maybe check-in, especially for people that already be asked to do check-in advance and did it, should not take so long :)

I personally loved all the staff. They were always kind, smiling, and helpful. The room is very spacious and always clean, and the breakfast is comprehensive and hearty. The location is safe, I went out for a run early in the morning before sunrise a few days and had no issues with safety or any kind of inconvenience I don't have any negative points to report. The hotel is simple and a bit dated, but cozy and clean. For the price paid, it exceeds all expectations

The staff were rude. Would not book again

Location was fine our room was nextcto the escalator so we could hear every movement

Best place as Hotel and best location in Barcelona

I seldom leave bad comments but this one really surprised me both good and bad ways. Good about this hotel: 1. The price is okay considering the space you can get and the really cute welcome card and bottle of water. 2. The location is quite convenient, really center and close to the metro station. Several cafe and bars around it. Bad about this hotel: 1. Wifi name written on the room card can’t be found and no similar name to search either. 2. I had a shower in the night and the water was lukewarm even I turned the hot water all the way on. I thought it was because of Spanish people shower in the morning, so I tried again next morning at 10 am, but the hot water is more or less the same, just slightly warmer… 3. Right after my morning shower, someone was knocking at my door. I had to put on my clothes very quickly, because they knocked the second time after I said I was coming to the door. After I opened the door, nobody was there and then a staff came out somewhere and asked me if I needed anything and since I was just in my room preparing to check out, why would I need anything? It was really an unpleasant experience. 4. Sunotel junior is under renovation so I had to go through Sunotel Aston, which I don’t mind. The connecting hallway was long and winding which was just annoying. But the elevator was scary, that every time it arrives, it bumps up and drops heavily which was really scary… I think for one night or two is okay, but with this price you can have better options.

Was very cold in the room 19,5-20 only. For a few times we asked at the reception to check it and unfortunately they didn’t fix the heating system and the problem was not only in our room.

Next time I will book at the Aston twin hotel (same property split into two back-to-back hotels) to get a bigger room.

Constant smoking smell in the rooms!

The staff were always good to help out with anything we needed Facilities were old and some things left to be desired such as broken AC. Facilities such as pool were very small considering the amount of guests staying at the hotel.
-
Facility was STAR 2 and the was nit worth the value. every thing in the facility was way way lower than my expectaions
-
This hotel needs to be a 3 stars hotel not 2 stars. I’ve been to 3 star hotels before and they were not good at all.
-
Location and Staff It is really two hotels in one, the restaurant was not open
-
Parking and breakfast Reception is closed; needed to go around the corner to another hotel ; which was connected through internal tunnels and corridors. That takes time to learn how to move around inside; what should be a small Petit practical hotel turned not to be the case. My room was extremely small ; almost a capsule.

The pool is small
