Great location Bugs in the bathroom and shits were change but still had stains.

Location was fantastic, very hospitable and accommodating, spotless!

The hotel is in front of the estación de França. The stuffs are really nice. The lady has tried to clean the bathroom everyday but it’ll be still a mess after a day of shared use. Generally it’s worthy to stay here especially the price in Barcelona is crazy, at least here the room is clean and tidy.

Location, shared shower was clean Literally bugs crawling in the bed as well as a huge cluster of what looked like pubic hairs. We had to sleep on top of our towels the first night and then left before our second night. The place was absolutely filthy. We alerted the staff and they wouldn’t even give us clean sheets. They told us to “just kill” the bugs. Their tone with us was downright abusive when we calmly approached them to say we didn’t want to stay and asked for a refund for our second night (the night before). The morning receptionist seemed ok but by that point the afternoon and night receptionists made us feel so uncomfortable and unsafe we could not image anything good could come of staying, let alone that we would no doubt be exposing ourselves to more bedbugs. If it seems like a cheap deal - don’t take it! There are many nice places to stay in Barcelona for not much more money where you wouldn’t risk your health or safety.

I stayed at Hostal Nuevo Colon in Barcelona for 2 nights. The location was convenient, close to many places that are worth visiting during a trip to the city. Considering the prices in Barcelona, I would say it was a fair price-performance option for a private room. The staff were also kind. Having a sink inside the room was an advantage, and the ceiling fan was useful. I wouldn’t say the room was extremely spotless, but it was generally acceptable. The shared showers were comfortable to use. The shared toilets were fine. The biggest downside for me was that the room faced the inner part of the building instead of the street, so when you looked out of the window, you were looking into the building courtyard, which did not feel very pleasant. Another disadvantage was that my room was next to the reception area, and the wall did not block sound well. Even when the receptionist was not being particularly loud, I could still hear almost everything from the room throughout the night. It gave the room a bit more of a hostel feeling, especially when guests asked questions at the desk.

I have nothing bad to say about this place. The receptionist, Paul, was very kind and polite. The room and all the common spaces were very clean. It’s exactly what we paid for. Also, I think they were probably the owners, were kind and generous.

We had such a good experience at this hostel. From the very beginning, the staff here was friendly and kind, everything was clean, great location, and also you don’t have to worry about your safety since the main gate was closed to people who are were not staying there. If we ever come to Barcelona again, we definitely know where to go

The hostel is very central and very well connected. Beach is also very close which is uper nice.

Amzing location I fell in love with the balcony view. It was incredibly clean!! Even though the toilet is seperated it is super clean. Most of the things I didn’t like didn’t ruin my experience. The most annoying thing is how thin the walls were.

Amazing location!! Very basic clean room, fine for my super short stay. My room had 2 small beds moved together which was ok but made it a bit awkward to get around. Lovely balcony in the shared community space which was nice to greet the sun in the morning before heading out for the day. I was misled a bit by photos thinking I’d have one in my room but not an issue. Staff was helpful and kindly stored my bags the next day after I checked out. I think the price is a bit high for what you get (shared shower and toilet rooms) but it met my needs for 1 late night check-in. Would not be the best for me for a longer vacation, but may be fine for others especially if splitting the cost.

Convenient location

In a great location, making lots of sites in easy walking distance. The lift was a little inconsistent.

My fourth or fifth time here, always a pleasure to come back
