The amenities and location. Pool was clean and maintained well. Food was good. There was a lot of ants in our room.

The Valentines Retreat is at a perfect location, situated within a quiet courtyard, with all amenities at a 5 - 10 minute walk. The staff is professional and very heartfully assisting in all the guest's needs. The housekeeping is done professionally, the laundry service is excellent at a very fair rate, the reception is handled by a professional in the hospitality and it all shows. If you wish, they can help in organizing a fun and worthwhile sightseeing trip. Their service surpasses 2 stars immensely!! The room is comfortable and the hotel was recently renovated with new bathrooms with a strong hot shower and modern facilities. They add complimentary shampoo, soap and toothpaste. The airconditioning and fans are as silent as they come and the matras is divine. That said. I see The Valentines Retreat as a place to set a fine base and from there, to explore Goa. If you are looking for a big rave right around the corner, this is may be that tad too peaceful. Fantastic place, fantastic staff and real people with heart work here. It surprises me that this is a 2-star hotel. It feels more like a high service apartment, which is a good thing! The internet is not as strong in every room/area. So for a strong connection, I would sit in a certain area of my apartment and it was fine.

Location is good. Room is clean and modern. Small but clean bathroom. Near to Candolim beach. They provided a small refrigerator which is handy for keeping drinks chilled ? They charged us half price as late check-out fee that too unofficially (cash payment). We got a room with back side view.

Place is very clean and hygienic. Nearly maintained property with friendly attendees. Complimentary breakfast isn't good for vegetarians. Just bread and tea.

The ambience, location was as shown in the pictures so no complains about it. The staff was very helpful and comforting There not enough space to park so parking was a challenge. Apart from this our request to check-out late wasn't considered(I believe owing to the period when we went).
