No where on their website did it say that the restaurant and bar were closed certain days of the week. There is not a lot of parking. Very small rooms and upon opening the door our room it smelled like wet dogs. We could not stay there for the evening. We left and chose another hotel that did not smell. We understand pet friendly hotels but they must be cleaned accordingly.

Large room, comfy bed, clean, great coffee.

The room also had a smell. Not necessarily a dirty smell, but more like that old, closed-in air smell. You do get used to it after being in the room for a while, but personally, I would not stay here again. The pictures on Expedia are honestly what convinced me to book this hotel, but I probably should’ve read through the reviews first. They use the word “historic,” which I understand, but to me it just felt more old and not very well maintained. I will say the staff was AMAZING. No complaints there at all. Everyone we interacted with was friendly and helpful. If you’re sensitive to smells, cleanliness, or just have higher expectations when it comes to your hotel room, I don’t think this is the place for you. We paid over $240 for the night, basically $250, and for that price I was expecting a lot better. Definitely not worth $250 a night in my opinion.

Conveniently centrally located. Found a deal on the Grand Suite but found it overbooked and was moved to a historic suite after a courtesy phone call ahead of time. Front desk staff was top notch, especially Mateyah! Nice fitness facility in the basement. Complimentary tea was top quality. Gorgeous property with attention to historic detail and lovely public areas. No swimming pool or alternative pass to a local one. Bathroom and kitchenette were tired. Peeling bathtub; worn cupboards. WiFi was difficult to connect to and stay on. No pull-string for window shade in bedroom, so early morning light flooded the room.

Historically beautiful hotel. Room is basic but had all the essentials and clean. The theater room in the basement is a nice touch.

absolutely loved my stay will be coming back again. The only thing I noticed is the birds get kinda noisy, but the hotel does supply earplugs. Very nice stay

Sunday night jazz! Like a true diva, Hotel Leo shows its age a bit but is charming and eclectic - not a chain hotel experience. We enjoyed sunsets and hearing train whistles and music from nearby venues in our suite. Free parking and bike storage were a big plus. Walkable to fun shops and eateries. A separate bedroom and living area made it easy for my daughter to sleep in. The community library and roof deck were great. Full kitchen and walkable to the CoOp and Saturday farmers market.

Location was perfect, central to everything! Room was comfy, clean and had everything I needed. Coffee was decent pour-over camping style. Loved the lobby decor and design details. Room had completely different vibe, pretty simple and modern but very functional and cozy. I got in late due to car troubles, and the bar/lounge area with food was closed. It's fine cause then I got to go out to a fabulous little spot nearby, but was exhausted and would have loved if there had been room service or something. Also a little cafe in the morning would be cute with continental breakfast and lattes.

Location was the only good part The smallest 2 bedroom hotel room ever.
-
Great location to walk all around downtown Bellingham. The room was comfortable and clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful.
-
Great ambiance, amenities, and staff. But it was the coffee that blew me away. Even the in-house Vita brew knocked the socks off of any other hotel I've stayed at. That we couldn't stay another night!

Close to city s restaurants and breweries coffee shops. Also loved the shuffleboard table
