The old world charm, and the incredibly friendly staff, and the location made this a great day for me The small bathroom was awkward, and the showered didn’t work and the table which was meant to be helpful, was awkwardly placed. No biggie, but I’m wondering if they could have a smaller table

Staff friendly. Great location. Gave me an extra mattress to make me more comfortable. Good private onsen so don’t have to pay to go elsewhere. It’s a little rundown, but nothing too bad.

The futons on the tatami were too hard (I slept in many traditional style rooms, but this one was the hardest by far). Abd the room was really cold. Not having wifi was disclosed, but this could be fixed easily. There was mold in the bathroom, toilet, sink and the onsens. Only one shared toilet and one shared sink for all the guests with no space to put your things on. The onsen had a slimy floor, didn't seem to be cleaned at all and the water was extremely dirty with hair, residues and other stuff floating around. Maybe coincidentally I got sick with stomach flu during my stay there.

The place has character! I really enjoyed the traditional atmosphere. The 3 onsens in the place were great! The location is quite good, easy access by airport bus. Not too long to the bus stations that take you to the main city attractions. Some decent breakfast options nearby.

When I found the room, I have a little bit confused the room size the best size some kind the size I don’t understand Hopefully, in next time, I’ll going to Japan again the room size the best size let me understand it

It as 3 Onsens, very clean, comfy futons, very nice employees and good location. As the other said, it’s a bit old, it reminded me of my grandmother’s house. There is a need for repairs as it feels it’s been like this for a while.

Good location, very nice and caring staff, 3 onsens for private use within the ryokan. This place needs serious refurbishment. It is very old, furniture should be replaced, bathrooms miss a few tiles and the onsens although maintained clean desperately need renovation. We are used to sharing bathroom with other guests in ryokan but one toilet for roughly 5 rooms with a few people in each room is seriously not enough once fully booked. However, we enjoyed the stay overall!

The rooms arent soundproof, so if the other guests are noisy you could hear them.

I loved my stay at Kagaya. The staff was super friendly (two spoke fluent English) and helpful. I loved being able to enjoy the baths, which can be rented privately twice a day. I rented the room in the annex which was perfect for me. Very quiet, spacious, and comfortable. I wish there was a wifi amplifier for the annex. I wasn't able to grab a consistent connection and had to use my computer in the main lobby. Not a huge deal though, as I didn't need my computer much.
