We had such a lovely stay - the family was incredibly kind, the property spotless and comfortable, and they went above and beyond in sharing their knowledge. They provided a local map with excellent food and sightseeing recommendations, gave us thoughtful travel advice for the rest of Albania, and even shared fascinating history that added depth to our trip. Breakfast was a highlight, with delicious homemade food that made us feel right at home.

Without a doubt, we would highly recommend Veranda to any travelers coming through Berat. Located just a short 10 minute walk from the heart of downtown, this quiet bed and breakfast is absolutely beautiful with immaculate gardens, a quiet setting, and spacious rooms. What really made our experience, however, was our host, Ceni. As we arrived, he helped us navigate how to park in our rental car, showed us to our room, and then sat with us explaining all about Berat on a map where he made recommendations for things to do and restaurants. (By the way, his restaurant recommendations were spot on, much better than some of the Instagram ones we tried.). He was easy-going and kind, answering all of our questions. Breakfast was provided each morning at a time of our choosing (included coffee and tea, homemade cakes, bread with different jams, cucumber/tomato/feta, and a hard boiled egg.). The air conditioning works great, as did the hot water and water pressure in the shower. Our hosts even took our laundry in the morning and returned it washed and folded. Small downsides include that it's cash only (however, we've found this to be extremely common in Albania). That being said, I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Cannot recommend enough!

We liked everything- host, breakfast, location and beds. The shower situation - water goes beyond the shower base and drains in the middle of the bathroom making everything wet. They do offer flip flops to wear which really helps.

Exceptional

This place was one of the best accomodations we had in Albania! The garden was beautiful and the hosts were incredible, they really made us feel welcomed and tried to make sure that we had a great time! Upon arrival we got a brief introduction of the city and received some suggestions on places to visit. Since this accomodation is located quite close to the center, it was easy to explore Berat by just walking around. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious, kept us full for almost a day. I'm sure that I'll return to this place sometime and I highly reccomend it to anyone else who is planning to visit Berat!

The location was excellent. Easy to park the car and near from everything The shower didn't have hot water, just between warm and cold.

Exceptional

A idilic spot only a short walk from the centre of Berat. Breakfast had a large selection and was served on the peaceful veranda. The host was fantastic, giving us many recommendations for where to visit and the room was exceptionally clean. If we visit Berat again, we would certainly return here.

The owners were hospitable. The breakfast was excellent and very plentiful with homemade jams, yogurt etc. Location was excellent with free private parking. Our host made many useful suggestions. Because of the shower design, the floor gets wet, but slippers are provided.

We had a perfect stay in this family run bed and breakfast. The rooms were clean and comfy! Location is great, everything is within 1km by foot. The best part was the tasty local breakfast they serve in the mornings on the veranda, with a garden view. The Family is super helpful and friendly! Would pick this over a hotel anytime :) -
