A horror story of a booking that left me and my daughter locked out of the hotel room we have booked, in the freezing cold and with all other hotels closed for the night. I requested late check-in and the hotel confirmed and sent check-in instructions. We arrived 30 min earlier than planned, just 30 min after the reception closing time, to find all doors locked, our key safe empty, with no one answering the bell, no one answering the phone, and calls going to voicemail. It was dark, all other hotels were also closed, -10 degrees C, I was panicking that we'd be stuck outside in the cold for the night! In the end, we were extremely lucky to have found a hotel that agreed to stay open for an extra 10 minutes for us to reach it and get a room for the night. We have never heard from Hotel Deutsche Flagge with an apology, no acknowledgement, no message at all. Unthinkable!

This was the best place we stayed in in Binz. Everyone as nice and helpful and the place was relaxed and easy. Slightly older furnishings but the room we stayed in was well put together and really comfortable. Yummy breakfast and a great spot right by the centre and beach. Recommend. Price was good with the Genius deal we got

Hotel is situated close to the beach (10 min walk), grocery store and to a lot of restaurants. You can park your car in the parking behind the hotel. Hotel offers its own restaurant. It has beautiful interior decor with ship theme. You have to pay also a city tax for each day and by that, you will receive coupons to go to the beach. There is no elevator to upper floors. The room is missing an air-conditioner. The room door has opened even though it was closed (not locked).

Traditional style hotel, large rooms, high ceilings. Very comfortable. Staff are great, cheerful, very helpful. My 2nd 2 night stay within 2 weeks, room 101 the first time, and room 109 this time
