Rooms ,breakfast, location all fabulous. Was at European Athletics Championship .we also had the Swiss team and more interestingly some of the English and NI team there which was great for a bit of star gazing Liked all of it would say we parked where advised via Google and would have helped if booking . Com or the hotel web site advised us to use the car park directly under hotel.

The standard of cleanliness and a quiet room. The fact that the hotel took the decision to remove a lot of options in terms of catering for Coeliacs. Very limited breakfast choice for guests with a medical diet because of the athletics championships. Coeliacs have to follow a medical diet, it's not a diet by choice.

I requested the invoice at check-out, and the reception staff told me that it would be sent to me by email. However, I still have not received it. This delay has prevented me from submitting my travel expenses for reimbursement. If you’re travelling for business, I would strongly recommend avoiding this hotel. The hotel bedroom was very spacious and clean. The Staff were extremely pleasant, polite and helpful. The Bedroom - was very noisy so did not get a good rest. One could hear the water running through the pipes when used by other room guests. above and adjacent to me. The pillows on the bed were too soft and only learnt upon checkout that I could have asked for firmer pillows. The Bathroom - towel hooks next to the shower were impossible to hang the towels on. The basin/ sink kept filling up with water when the tap was turned on instead of draining away. Breakfast was ok although it would have been nice to have had the choice of cups instead of mugs. Also the bread was dry as it had been left out too long. The Car Park - should have been discounted as staying in the hotel. £24 per night is a lot when you have to take the luggage down the stairs to get to the car park from the hotel.

The location of the hotel is great if travelling by train as it's a short walk from New St Station. The staff were really friendly & polite & the room was very comfortable & a nice size. A good view from the 6th floor too. We had a drink in the bar when we came back from the theatre. The breakfast was a veritable banquet of food with a wonderful variety & something for everyone. We are meat free & there was plenty of choice for us, the cereal & pastries were also excellent. We would highly recommend this hotel if staying in Birmingham We arrived early afternoon but there was no place to get something to eat then. It didn't bother us as we went for a walk & found somewhere but some people .might not want to go out to find a place for lunch.

Everything was perfect, staff very friendly Comfortable room. Quiet aircon and an amazing breakfast. We only stayed here by chance as our original booking was with Raddison blu (stayed at raddisons blu in other area and alwaysbeen good)after booking read the reviews and started to doubt whether it was going to be as we expected. A week before we were due to stay I had an email saying aircon not working so that made up my mind that I needed to find another hotel. What a blessing, the Crown Plaza was. Will definitely stay here next time we are in Birmingham without hesitation. Nothing to dislike.
