Our check-in was a disaster.long story short, Got into a disagreement with the front desk manager, Nathan. Paid $ to check in half an hour early. Our assigned room wreaked of cigarette smoke. Called down to the front desk to change rooms. Nathan said I would have to wait an hour +. It was now almost 4 check in time. We took our luggage down to the front desk and the agent reassigned us, handed me the keys. Before I could get into the elevator, Nathan chased me down and demanded I hand back the keys. He said that it was not appropriate for me to talk to him and then proceed to one of his agents. He was furious that I bypassed his authority. I handed him the keys to avoid creating a scene. I am confused at this point, waited 15 minutes and returned to the check in desk. The agent had to ask his permission to let me check in. I got yet a third room. Nathan has no business working in a hospitality industry. He treats his guests and staff with disrespect. Couldn’t wait to cross the street to the Monarch where we gambled and dined and enjoyed our casino experience.

Checked into our room and found the shower grout was covered in mold/mildew throughout the shower. Called the front desk and they said housekeeping would be up shortly. 30min passed and no one came. Once I went down to the desk the woman had an attitude with me. While I was down there my boyfriend said housekeeping arrived with just towels. They wet the towel and tried to scrub away the mold with the wet towel. Eventually I talked with a supervisor who informed me they had no more rooms available and had to room us in their sister hotel Lady Luck (which was much cleaner). Was very disappointed since this was my birthday trip. Will NEVER stay at the horseshoe again, and because they and Lady Luck are owed by Caesar… we feel all of them don’t deserve our money anymore considering how pricy they make their rooms. Very unfortunate.

Slots were very very tight, like ridiculous tight, My room was a little down on its heels, a foul odor was emanating out of the sink, More hookers were running around in the casino than I’ve ever seen before. I’ve stayed at this hotel before, they could do better.

Very nice, clean room. Parking free and ample spaces. Staff was friendly, but not as helpful as I would expect from past stays at other horseshoe properties. Lack of pool and gym was unexpected.

I booked on Expedia for the horseshoe casino, but because we had a pet, we were moved to Lady Luck, All was good but heads up pet owners this is not a pet-friendly hotel, no facilities for the dogs to do their business. Pet rooms are the farthest rooms away from everything! I would come back but would not bring my fur baby ever again! To be very honest I would not stay at either Horseshoe or lady much better places to stay within the same price range.
