We love this hotel and we always stay here when in Blackhawk. The staff is always so friendly and helpful and the hotel and casino are clean and welcoming. Vincent at the front desk was very friendly, helpful, and accommodating on this trip!

Let’s start with check in. The line is incredibly long. People are waiting. The staff is meandering and, quite literally, checking to see if there’s anyone with a better player’s card tier status to help. Not because they were in line, mind you. Just staring at an empty “more important people with money” line hoping that someone more important would roll through. Then, there’s housekeeping/guest services. I called and asked for a couple of bottles of water. They eventually brought me six. One for every hour I had to wait for them to bring me water. And don’t get me started on the casino floor. The games are poor and overpriced. The dealers are either incompetent or so uncontrollably unhappy with their jobs they’ll stand at the table and whine about it. They don’t do any crowd control. This weekend there were so many drunk, rowdy, inappropriate young men and casino staff doing nothing about it. I was genuinely concerned I was going to walk around a corner to something unconscionable. This place wants to be Vegas and attracts the tacky clientele for it. Go to the Lodge, you’ll have more fun and won’t fear assault on the casino floor.

Note: My sister travels A LOT and her expectations were pretty high (for basic cleanliness and attentiveness to the needs of the customer). We arrived during the check in time to grimy fingerprints, smudges, and gunk on the large window, half-full bottles of soaps/shampoo/conditioner, hair/pebbles/crumbs on the carpet and three towels. We stayed for a week. We immediately smelled mold at the entrance to our room, and marijuana throughout the hallway - so clearly the no-smoking policy was not enforced. After calling to have the window cleaned and it didn’t happen, we drove to town for cleaning supplies and allergy medication. Turns out the bathroom vents were CAKED with dust and mold (looked up on Day 3). After IL showed up, said, “That’s gross!” he immediately removed the vents for cleaning. Thank you! Three separate times we asked for room service, and nobody came. We followed instructions and they did not - they came on Day 4, emptied trash, took our tip money, and that was it. No clean sheets, no clean towels, no fill of soap/TP. Frustration more than relaxation. :(

The scent of this place is extremely overbearing. It just getting worse and worse every time its way too much like a teenage girl discovering perfume for the firs

This is a very nice hotel with clean rooms and comfortable beds and pillows. The bathroom has both a shower and a tub. The gambling was okay and the drink service was very good.
