Hampton Inn Minneapolis Bloomington West

We were greeted right away at the front desk and the lady was very nice. The room was spotless, the bed and pillows were super comfortable and the water pressure was great in the shower. They had shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion in big dispensers in the bathroom/shower so we didn’t have to bring our own. They had coffee and tea in the breakfast area when we checked in and breakfast was great in the morning. It had egg and cheese omelets, breakfast potatoes, oatmeal, waffles, sausage, juice and some bakery items as well as some fruit. We used the pool and whirlpool and both were clean and relaxing. All of this along with free parking and being close to the mall made for a perfect stay! We’ll definitely stay here on our next trip to the Cities!

Wish I could say something better but this hotel canceled my reservation that I paid for two months in advance and had already budgeted for — approximately a half-hour before I was due to check in. Found out when I went to pull the address and put it in my rental to drive there. All to make a little extra from someone who failed to make a reservation in advance. Think twice before booking here through a third party. Do not recommend. (Also, please stop censoring my review - this is legit and people deserve to know this happens).

Breakfast was okay, but the coffee was great! Having driven all over the country this summer and getting terrible coffee at the hotels, I was so pleased to get good coffee. Rooms were clean and the bathrooms are updated. Very quiet and good blackout curtains for a peaceful night's sleep. Overall, very pleased with our stay.

Room was clean. Comfortable bed. Breakfast was great! Will stay here again next time we're in town.

They were also very pleasant and very accommodating. I have absolutely no complaints.

The room was nicely cleaned. Since we always check for bed bugs, we found some neglected spots not very well cleaned. 😊 the baseboards in the bathroom need some attention too. They had plenty dirt on them. The breakfasts were ok. They seemed to run out of lots of food at an early hour: nuts and raisins for the oatmeal; milk and yogurt were gone by 8:30 am. But what we had tasted good. Overall our stay was very good.

We have stayed here several times and love it. Clean, quiet, great breakfast and accommodating staff. This stay we had reserved a one night stay in a king room. Checked in at 8:30 pm. Hotel looked full by looks of parking lot. Got to our room. Was a handicap room. Was a bit disappointed with tub/shower. Not sure why?

Real person reviewing here. 6'2", size 13 shoe. Coffee > Tea. Don't camp in the left lane. With that out of the way: This is the spot. Very nice location. You are literally 5 minutes away from stuff like Trader Joe's, Total Wine, etc. Close to a gas station. If you use Upside, this is your place. Easy to find property. Right off the highway. Great staff. Very attentive and accommodating. Incredibly clean. Comfy beds. Attractive setting. I don't own an electric vehicle but I like that they have quite a few charging stations outside instead of one or two like I'm used to seeing. Breakfast options are great. Coffee is fresh and frequently replenished. The shower has actual usable pressure, which is reason enough for me to want to come back again and again. The walk-in shower is spacious with sliding glass partitions. Very cool looking. The plug-in night light is a genius move. You can illuminate whatever space you choose to. No more leaving a light on in the bathroom with the door slightly cracked if you don't like pitch black sleeping conditions (my kids). Seriously, other hotels should be taking this cue. There is a little nook in the lobby where snacks, drinks (including adult beverages, Dad) and whatnot can be easily picked up. The elevators are timely and spacious. Oh, and the luggage carts are kept clean and free of issues like faulty wheels. The pool was nearly un-swimmable. SO much chlorine. Burned my eyes. My kids' eyes. The hot tub was nice but then again - chlorine. I imagine this was a temporary inconvenience. The breakfast area fills up fast, so either hurry up and find a spot or eat quickly so the next people can have a spot. Had the staff not put up a sign to inform guests of extra seating elsewhere, we wouldn't have had a place to eat.

The staff was friendly, and some did a very good job. The breakfast service was slow and inconsistent (e.g. they would say replenishments would be out soon, but then took a while, or just didn't happen).
