B&B A Casa Fachin

The title "room & breakfast" is a bit confusing - it's just a room. There is a kitchen in the same apartment, but we had no information about using it. Also, I wish I knew in advance that I would have to pay city tax in cash before leaving.

Lella is fun, but this is not quite a BnB. In 8 days we saw her about 4 times, and while she was good to talk to we saw no evidence that she lived on site. The rooms and bathroom are spacious, and the Continental breakfast is a generous do it yourself matter in a well-set-up kitchen, at which we rarely saw anyone else. So this was more like a small private hotel without reception than a BnB, and getting in to collect one's keys on arrival involves fairly complex instructions and codes. There did not seem to be any information offered on site, e.g. about buses. To supply a tourist map and a page of written information, in major languages, on transport and recommended places to eat, would be useful, even in the era of Googlemaps! We chose this place largely for the convenience of having clothes-washing facilities, but it seems these are no longer offered. When we asked, Lella emailed us recommendations to two commercial laundries--which were excellent, but 10 minutes walk away. This part of the property's description should be revised. The place is about 15 minutes walk from the central square, cathedral etc. Buses are not much use for this route. But there is good bus service from the nearby Liceo Righi bus stop to the station with the no. 32 "circolare" bus. (You return in the opposite direction with the no. 33 circolare from the train station.) There is no lift to the high first floor, but there is a pizzeria on the ground floor of Lella's building, which offers good cheap meals. Our room had very effective reading lights rigged up to enable reading in bed. A nice touch! But these lights depended on rickety double-adapters. On one bed, you needed to put a plug of equal weight into the other half of the double adapter, and then balance them carefully before current would flow. Overall a pleasant and livable place to stay, but with some flaws. See above

Its a very nice, clean, comfortable and charming place. Very close to center, 10 min by walking. There is a kitchen where you can make your own breakfast for example. All in all highly to recommend!

Decent B&B, easy "self service" check in, we didn't meet staff but they were helpful over WhatsApp. We didn't use but there was a good shared kitchen. A washing machine was advertised when booking but there wasn't one. Quite expensive - likely due to an event on the same time we were in Bologna. No fault of the hotel but quite far from the centre.

The accommodation is very spacious and comfortable for three people with our own ensuite. The decor throughout the property is very homely. Our hosts were very friendly and accommodating. Check in and check out was very efficient with good instructions. The hosts kindly allowed us to keep our luggage at the property the day we checked out. It is about a 15-20 minutes work to the main square so the location is great. The ensuite/ bathroom door handle is a little loud which is noticeable at night purely because we were worried it would wake people up at night, but it was not a major issue.

The place was really nice and neat. It was very clean and we had everything we needed. The host was kind and provided us with all the necessary information about our stay. The location was great too. Plus, it is a big advantage that you can leave the luggage after the check-out. We absolutely recommend the place!

We were very pleased to met Leila and her husband and also her son who is going to take over within a while. They are very nice people and the given us tips. The room was very quite like I asked and we had space enough for the three of us. Everything we need was in the bathroom and they asked us for cleaning our room everyday but it was not necessary for us. The ;kitchen has enough materials to use. The bed aren't not the top, the two of us were ok but this for my daughter was not so good. For an adult is a little to soft and not supporting enough . In the price is was no breakfast but leila told us directly and they put some things to eat on the table like fruits and nuts and biscuits, it 's not a breakfast but you can use for break. You can eat a lovely breakfast nearby on the corner by Violeta old cafe

High ceilings, spacious and clean rooms. Everything was fine.

Nice room on walking distance to the city centre. The kitchen can be used as well. The room was very clean. The title of the apartment can be mistaken. The room can also be booked without breakfast. I had this misunderstanding. No problem, as there are breakfast opportunities nearby.

The site was very close to the centre of Bologna so having parked the car we didn't need to use it again until we left. The room was clean and the large enough to spread out in. Breakfast was self help in the kitchen which was shared with other guests. Unfortunately we were not able to meet the staff because she was hospitalised. However, we were made to feel welcome via messages to my mobile.

The room was very cozy and clean. We got what we need for the travel. It takes around 15 mins to walk to the center. There’re bus stations nearby. It mentioned breakfast included when we booked the room but unfortunately we were told that breakfast is not included when we arrive. ☹️

It was my first time in Bologna and I spent almost a week there. I enjoyed my stay so much thanks to this beautiful B&B and its lovely hosts. My room is big, with a comfortable bed, a large bathroom, an AC, and all the necessities. I often take some coffee in the kitchen to start my day. Yes, there is also a bright kitchen that provides some snacks, tea, coffee, Oat, etc. It takes you 20 to 25 minutes walking from the train station to the place, and 10 minutes to major tourist attractions. The hosts are very generous, making the guests feel at home. I spent some good time with the family, who treated me great local food and brought me to the major Square and the Church. Thanks again for leaving me such an unforgettable memory in Bologna! I would definitely recommend it to those who need a safe and comfortable stay in the city! Nothing

Very clean, something that is so rare to find. Lack of mosquito nets, it should be a must for all places.

Great location, just a short walk to the central square. Flat was quiet, room was spacious, beds were comfy and the shower was fabulous.

Exceptional

Good places to eat nearby. Wi-fi, when we visited, was struggling which was an issue as we needed to book flights etc.

Everything was perfect, hotel is in the middle of the central.. All church, museum and square are so close, it just takes 15 minutes by walking.. Lella is so kindly women, everything was so clean..
