Staff are excellent. Hotel rooms are small and a little old fashioned. Breakfast is good. No alcohol is served. Not sure why. One lift. I thought price was a bit high for standard.

Great staff and chef! Renovated Restaurant , Convenient to walk over to seaside, Gateway not far either, right on Churchgate station to go north. Rooms' bathroom and A/C should get renovated, to improve sound proofing too.

We loved absolutely everything about Astoria Hotel. We visit Mumbai a few times every year and we have tried all the big and fancy names who charge you an arm in a leg only to leave you disappointed. But Astoria was an exceptional experience, where you get the best value for money and where every person is genuinely interested in you having a very pleasant experience. The location is outstanding and minutes walk to the famous Marine Drive, which we made a point to walk every evening when we were there. A special mention for Giriraj Singh in housekeeping who looked after the rooms very well, but at the same time everyone from the doorman to the staff in the reception and those serving in the restaurant were fantastic!

nice lobby and breakfast area, unfortunately the rooms hardly keep up with it. conveniently located arround the corner from the train station, and the seafront in a neighborhood of architectual interesting houses.

Nice 3 star in downtown Mumbai with pleasant staff and good food. Close to everything in the old centre and right next to Churchgate station. I had to cut my stay short as I couldn't take the noise from the sewage lorries at night - apparently a temporary thing for construction of the metro. I was disappointed they didn't refund my remaining 2 nights of my stay but they said it wasn't possible due to booking.com If you aren't a light sleeper, then this place could work for you. Otherwise, come back once the metro is finished.

Staff are very friendly and hard working. Breakfast plentiful. Ground floor lobby/restaurant is very modern and clean. The rooms are so old they are impossible to get clean. They reuse the wash bottles in the bathrooms so they are thick with old dirt. Bedrooms are old and warn with questionable electrics in the bathrooms.

The hotel is very nice, and well kept. Location is very good, clean and comfortable Towels were short, and didn’t dry very well
