The hotel is amazing! It’s like living in the jungle with all the beautiful plants around. The pool is super nice and well maintained and the staff was SO welcoming. We were there for our honeymoon and my wife’s birthday and we received many complimentary gestures such as cakes, fruits and bed setting with wishes. The only downside of this hotel is the amount of mosquitoes because of the plants and the lotus pool that is in the center. We will definitely be back at this hotel. Just the mosquito bites that killed us.

Perfect welcome, staff are attentive, location is perfect within minutes from fisherman’s village. Hotel is warm and welcoming. Certain guests from a certain country act like they are superior to everyone else lol, but if I put that aside it was a great place. Loved everything.

My stay at Anantara Bophut Koh Samui Resort was excellent. The location is perfect, the attention to detail is clear in every part of the experience, and the hospitality of the staff made the stay feel warm and personal. Overall hotel stay and experience was perfect! We came for our anniversary, and truly enjoyed our time at the hotel. The hotel staff including attention to overall guest experience was just amazing. Special thanks to Sandy, the hotel manager who made our stay unforgettable and ensured we had a wonderful stay!

Location the room

Perfect location on the fisherman market, The staff showed us when we arrived the hotel and his facilities and during all our staying make sure we have everything we need. It was our honeymoon and each night the hotel gave us small and nice present. Recommend without a doubt. Nothing everything was perfect.

The lobby and landscaping are pretty, and feel high end (the rooms, pool area and the breakfast area did not). The breakfast buffet was generous and great, although would have appreciated having breakfast with a more scenic view. The beds were comfortable, the rooms were quiet, the AC was effective. The food and drinks served poolside were fresh and tasty. The garden view rooms felt like a standard/ mid-range motel, not a luxury resort experience. At the price we paid, we expected luxury resort. Hotel staff would not assign us a room abutting our kids' room, despite me contacting them to request this months in advance and reiterating this request several times. Our kids were 4 doors down the hallway, luckily they were barely old enough for this to be sort of OK, because no matter how much we implored for this to be solved, the only "solution" was for us to move to a diffferent room 3 days into our stay. Access to the rooms off the bland outdoor hallway felt like a motel. The bathroom was awkward- no counter space, a single door shared between the shower and the toilet- not ideal for sharing a room with your sibling (as my kids were doing). The pool was well maintained and nice but crowded/ busy, not a relaxing resort experience. Additional pool space is needed for a resort hosting this many people. "Guilty" the expensive restaurant perched above the pool with a view of the pool and the sea, would be better utilized as an all-day lounge/ cafe than as a luxury restaurant. I would have used it every day to sit and drink an afternoon cocktail and have snacks if it was accessible and at the right price point. Instead, it was only available by reservation for full meals. The prices are too high for an everyday meal, and so it was generally not fully occupied.

Best breakfast in the island! Amazing beach and pool, great view, well equipped gym, kind staff. Could have stayed much longer :) A but simple rooms in compare to other resorts, but the outside compensates for it

We loved everything about this hotel. From the pick-up at the airport (yes at extra charge but not bad at 850 baht), to check-in, to showing us the beautiful property,… everything was perfect. You’re really getting an international 5-star experience at a very reasonable price. Some highlights to call out: - amazing international breakfast with everything from fresh juices to great bread, egg-station & Asian food - the location is unbeatable if you want a calm/ beautiful hotel with a quieter beach experience at a mostly private beach but 5 mins walk from the very pretty fisherman’s village. Fisherman’s village gave me Croatian summer town vibes so would highly recommend this if you’re looking for easy access to restaurants/ shops/ bars/ massage places without crazy clubs etc - the staff was incredibly nice and helpful. Our safe was broken and they were there to fix it within 20 mins and then apologized with a food platter the next day for the inconvenience. And on the day we arrived we entered our room to a beautiful happy anniversary set up with towel-swans, food etc. it was amazing! - overall beautiful hotel & great amenities: the spa area is just so relaxing & beautiful I couldn’t stop taking pictures; the gym is small but new with new equipment and has everything for a whole body workout, the pool is awesome and the beach has enough chairs/ loungers for all guests. You can also rent kayaks and SUPs for free. These are all minor but things to be aware of: - the rooms (at least ours) did not have a lot of closet & counter space. My husband and I weren’t able to both fit our toiletry bags in the bathroom and there was only enough closet space/ drawers for one of us. - the additional activities (all sports activities outside of the 9am free class) and the SPA services were quite expensive; however, I did take one of the classes and had an amazing time. You can find A LOT cheaper massages especially in the village but it’s still a beautiful spa if you’re willing to pay the price! - when you’re laying on the beach it’s hard to get the attention of the staff for drinks/ food from the bar. It would be nice if someone came around every 30 mins or so to check! - the gym could benefit from some more lower-body machines. Almost all machines were upper body machines. However, there’s a squat rack so that makes up for it! - finally, I just want to give a heads up that it’s definitely a family-friendly hotel. The kids were mostly noticeable in the pool area and it didn’t bother us at all but I just wanted to call it out in case someone considered this hotel as a honeymoon place - don’t expect just couples! We loved our stay here so these are just minor things to be aware of rather than actual critique!
