Room and location was great but disappointed that there was no AC in the room. To many stairs not convenient for older people.

It is really amazing location. Everything is close to the hotel. Staff is extremely helpful and friendly independent of the time. Breakfast is typical french but probably could be a bit more varied, however, it is enough and feasible. no air condition. In hot summer time it is a hell with +34 C. A ventilation is also not the top.

hotel gambetta is well located in Bordeaux. The room was very clean and the sheets were nice. The young lady at the front desk was exceptional. The breakfast was good and there was a few choices.

I think it was all good. No A/C was a small thing.

Location and staff

Great location.

Accessible shops etc...

Centrally located, breakfast was good and the staff were very nice. The elevator starts on the 2nd floor and does not go to the top floor. If you carrying luggage, you'll have to do it up the stairway.

The location is superb, right downtown in the pedestrian zone. Since we like to sleep with open windows, we closed the windows when the garbage trucks and street cleaners started. Staff was very helpful, helped us with a restaurant reservation. The beds. Tired mattresses.

Very good location, amazing staff.

Very kind, friendly and helpful staff. Loved that the room had a ceiling fan!
-
The room was small, not really clean, no air conditioning , you have to climb the stairs although they have elevator but its not from the desl level and not all the to the fourth floor
-
Excellent location, clean functional , well equiped and furnished bedroom, bathroom, common areas. With temperatures at 40 degrees of course I would have preferred to have aircon BUT this is a 2 star budget hotel which represents superb value and exceeds it's star rating in every other aspect so this is not in anyway a complaint.

nice old fashioned hotel on a pedestrian street. My 'basic' room was nice.

The location was the biggest attraction as you can walk anywhere and enjoy the City! Very good restaurants located within walking distance from the hotel. Also hotel able to sell you transit tickets! When I first booked this hotel I learned that there were stairs so I contacted the property to see if we could avoid stairs and I received a lovely response that said that we would have a 1st floor room with no extra charge! When we arrived we were told that the only room was a 2nd floor courtyard room! An elevator in the back was available on occasions but very inconsistent. I continued to have right knee pain from all the stair climbing and had it checked by a doctor but no permanent damage. I am 79 years old and suffer with neuropathy as well. I would not recommend this hotel for seniors or anyone with disabilities…luckily our stay was only 3 days! My brother was with me and he is 83 years old! The front desk staff tried to accommodate us but not honoring the 1st floor room was not acceptable and we should have canceled and left!

Great location, nice clean room Hot one of our nights on the fourth floor

The breakfast was especially good. We had everything we needed in the room. Parking was in a garage which was quite a hike from the hotel. Hallway to room was dark and steps were hard to see. Street noise.
-
Great place to stay if you're on a budget. I was happy with the room, though there was a bit of noise during the night. The room was perfect for me as a solo traveller. The staff were very nice. The room had a bit of noise at night, and the building was a bit older and could use some renovations.

Excellent location. Wonderful staff Nothing.

Very good location close to restaurants and tram line. Friendly staff. Bed was ok. We asked for a quiet room and got it. Room was small and rather poorly furnished. Old carpet. No electricity sockets near the bed. Despite an elevator we had to climb stairs which was ok for us but may be difficult for some travelers. Price was too high for this level of stay.
