Nova Hotel Brooklyn

It’s definitely a budget hotel, photos provided are a little misleading. The good things about it are the private balconies in the rooms, the train station is only a block away, and they don’t charge a deposit upon check in. The hotel and room itself were clean but I would rate it 6/10. Toilet seat was lose, bathroom door may have needed some oil to open and close properly. Lobby seemed out of date and I had no interest in seeing the bar. They at least stop the bar music by 10pm which is good (my room was right next to the bar so it was LOUD). I’d say if you need a cheap place to stay and only plan on using the room to sleep/shower, it does the job.

If you arrive late at night and you have bags make sure you call the hotel so they can turn on the elevator from the street level . The hotel offers complimentary coffee and water .

Drawers were broken, multiple doors with no handles, smelled weird throughout the building.

The location was great for where I needed to be. The hotel was clean and the bathroom was quite big. Nice stay.

The one bad part from my event trip which left a sour taste was the staff told me I could park on the street infront of the hotel and it wouldnt be an issue. That very night I got a ticket for 65USD which I'd love to be reimbursed for if possible. I just didnt see the staff member that told me this the next 2 nights of my stay so couldn't confront him. I did end up parking at the paid parking the next 2 nights of my stay so I could avoid anymore tickets. Subway station is very close and easily connects to downtown Manhattan. Minus the parking ticket issue, it was a pretty average hotel to stay at if you're looking for something affordable and not too far from the city.

Then upon getting into bed the entire bedding and sheets also stunk like cigarettes. So I slept in a cigarette smoke covered bed all night. It was gross. I don’t know if it’s from people smoking in the room, or whoever washed the linens , or where they are stored has smoking around it. But- all of the sheets were saturated in cigarette smoke. Won’t stay here again.

Stains in the mirrors and flies in the room. Need better towels they are small. Shower pipes make a horrible noise that does not allow you sleep through someone showering the noise begins shortly after you move the lever to hot. Pictures provided of the damaged ceiling of bathroom. House keeping needs to check the rooms and clean properly. The balcony is useful and smart tv.

It was a great stay, very comfortable and tidy

I reserved the royal loft which was in the basement, there was no phone in the room to contact the front desk, only one remote control to operate 2 tvs, the top floor of the loft was so low my husband injured his head on the smoke detector that was on the ceiling.

Def would stay here again makes you feel like you are in an apt more than hotel.

New hotel, modern design, friendly staff, and exceptionally clean. The location is excellent, and the price is one of the biggest highlights—especially considering everything the hotel offers. It provides outstanding value for money and is truly worth it. I hope they keep it this way, as it is a fantastic option for staying in New York. The spacious room balconies offer beautiful views, and the rooftop bar is absolutely wonderful, making the overall experience even more enjoyable.

Outside of that, it’s not somewhere I would ever stay again. The rooms are dirty (stains on pillows, white flakes of something everywhere, grimy showers) and the area is noisy. I think it may have been the train yards near by but we heard loud booms through our first night until 1am. It’s just one of those places where you can tell there is no extra effort of care for the facilities or guests. So I would avoid if you can.

Sona best front desk she explained everything clearly and lmk what they offer and she is very sweet . Also I booked last minute very late and she upgraded my stay she is so nice . Book with them

I was coming off a long train ride so I probably would have given it a better rating if I wasn’t so tired. I had some questions about the area but I couldn’t understand the hotel clerk’s answers. Maybe mostly me. But do your homework before you get there.

The staff was so helpful and would help me bring my bags up to my room and bring them down to my car when I left. A lot of hotels I’ve stayed in Brooklyn don’t do that.

The gym was by far the best part!
