The location was great! And the staff were very helpfull! It takes about 12 minites of walking to the Belfry which is right in the city centre. Note: Breakfast is €20 per person per day! So a bit on the expensive side. However the breakfast is very nice. You have a lot of options! Pillows were very thin which caused me backpain. I recommend immediately asking hotel staff for a new pillow. They gave me a much better pillow! Our room needed airco on all the time. There was a floor heater that was always on, because of that the room would get a bit too hot for our comfort.

The staff was nice and helpful, the location of the hotel was close to the city center, the room was cosy. The bathroom was poorly maintained and dirty. For example, the faucet by the sink was visibly dirty, there were hairs in the bathtub, and the corners around the bathtub and the floor were not properly cleaned. In addition, the bathroom door handle was broken. Such a level of cleanliness and maintenance is unacceptable for a four-star hotel.

The staff were very helpful. This makes a big difference in a hotel. Outstanding ! Love the games in the reception room, nice to have a beer and play the games. The pool looked nice, although we never used it. We saw lots of people who did though and they looked like they were enjoying it. The sweets were nice, I had a few too many Nothing !!

I booked the Grand Hotel Normandy expecting a charming 4-star experience, but the property falls well short of that standard due to the poor overall condition of its facilities. The rooms are heavily dated and showing clear signs of neglect. We encountered peeling wallpaper in the two rooms we booked, and equipment not properly working. Upon arrival, our bathroom was clearly not cleaned properly. Finding a dirty bathroom right after check-in is unacceptable for any hotel, let alone one claiming a 4-star rating. The staircases were visibly rusty and neglected. Crucially, there were no handrails/handles available for one set of stairs leading to our rooms, making the stairs dangerous and extremely difficult to navigate for anyone with walking difficulties or mobility limitations. The entire hotel feels run-down and neglected, with little to no upkeep on basic structural and safety elements. The hotel seems drastically short-staffed. Rooms were not properly made during our stay, and the breakfast service was frustratingly slow, with dirty tables piling up and sitting uncleaned for long periods.

The room was spacious, clean, and all you could want. The pool was spot on, and the gym looked well-stocked with decent equipment. Parking is safe and around the back, but you have to pay for a space. Nothing it was a good experience all round
