Colony Inn

When we arrived, it was 90 degrees outside and our AC unit was dirty and the filters were clogged on the inside. It looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months. The toilet had mold inside it and under the seat. The bathtub was dirty as well. There were only 3 large towels in the room with no wash clothes or hand towels available. No tissue box in the room. The bed broke when I sat on it to get into bed. The bathroom light didn't work and only occasionally flickered. The switch didn't work.

I liked the setup and theme layout of the room. The beds were comfortable and clean, the kitchen/bathroom area was well equipped. There were multiple bugs, and different types of bugs that were in every part of our room. They were in the fridge, the bathroom, and on the walls next to the beds. We had to buy bug spray to try to deter them. Also, when heating food in the microwave, there were sparks and loud pops when we first started the microwave.

Friendly staff Everything i went with my 3 small kids my oldest even said it looked like a horror movie. Small bugs Everything old and broken smelled like smoke it was horrible nothing like the pictures would not go back.

The vicinity is perfect. You can literally see Knotts Berry Farm from the parking lot (it's a five minute walk). ~There is a 76 gas station next door for any missing toilet toiletries, snack, snacks, or drinks. And yes, even alcohol. There is also a Walgreens close by in walking distance. ~The front office staff is friendly ~There is plenty of parking in what ~I felt like is a safe area. ~There's plenty of trash receptacles outside and the parking lot is very clean. ~There is a pool and Jacuzzi area. ~The rooms are clean and include a fridge and a microwave. (You can even get a jacuzzi room!) Mine didn't work unfortunately due to plumbing issues. ~Housekeeping comes every day, does a good job and leaves a roll of toilet paper and toiletries. ~The AC works fantastically! ~There's no trash receptacle in the room. I had to ask for a garbage bag. However, when housekeeping came in the next morning and saw my garbage bag, they promptly put in a little garbage can. ~My bed is firm but uneven on an incline. ~The sheets are very cheap and the bedspread is a very thin. ~There were no washcloths. ~There is plumbing issues in room 107. The toilet only flushes after every fourth flush. ~The shower backed up as did the Jacuzzi tub. I did report it immediately the next morning. They asked if I would be able to wait until maintenance arrived later that afternoon, but we were planning on going to the amusement park so I gave them permission to enter the premises while we were away. I came back to a nice clean room, but the same plumbing issues. I was not able to use the Jacuzzi tub that I paid extra for after a long day at Knotts Berry Farm, nor was I able to take a shower until after midnight when the shower decided to drain itself. They didn't supply a snake or a plunger and said there were no other available rooms. They said they couldn't get maintenance in again until the next day. Maintenance was supposed to be there while we were at the theme park so I don't know what happened with that. So it was disheartening to not be able to relax and take a shower. ~They made a note of it and said they would give me a discount. But because I booked through a third-party, they said that third-party would have to contact their manager and then I would get some kind of discount. Still no discount received. ~There's no ice machine. ~If you're downstairs, it's very noisy because you can hear everybody going up and down the stairs and walking around on the top floors.

It's close to Knott's Berry Farm. I turned on the light going to the bathroom when I saw tons of roaches on the floor in front of the sink and on the shower curtain.

They require a cash deposit on arrival and have an atm to get cash that charged 4 dollars on top of the fee from my bank so plan ahead. Had a strange musty smell which we solved with essential oils and febreeze.

The cost You get what you pay for . No frills but a place to sleep . Staff was very friendly

It was next to Walgreens No TV for my stay and the roaches

Location was good I didn't like the fact I didn't have TV for the 2days I stayed there,the roaches were bad I told them about it they said they didn't have anymore rooms available because I'm disabled and need the first floor.This is by far 1 of the worst motels I ve stayed at the worst was there sister motel that they sent me too for the roach problem this was my comp for my next visit BEACHSIDE INN on beach bl in BP or it's Anaheim this was the worst.I didn't get a discount and as soon as I went to my room there was a towel on the floor under the ac,I left for a while I turned the ac on while I was gone I came back and where the ac was located there was water everywhere I told them about it they said they didn't have anymore towels cause I used all the ones they had for me I used on the floor so now I can't shower cause I used them all on the floor,they told me the same thing they didn't have anymore rooms so I told them that I have to use the sheets from the other bed for the water on the floor after I had to turn the ac off cause of the water and it was so hot without the ac.Then we have roaches everywhere I couldn't eat in my room I didn't want to put my food down anywhere then I seen roaches running across my bed so now I can't sleep in the bed whatever slei did get I had to do it in my mobility scooter cause I'm disabled.You need to take Beachside Iñ off your website as well as the other one they have the Colony Inn I would would be embarrassed to have them on my website.. Very Very disappointed
