Clean Very loud area Reception wasn’t open till 12pm as advertised so staff had to come out to let us in at 11pm.

The rooms were comfortable, the staff were kind and the location in Caen was decent One room had cigarette butt ends left in a drawer, the other had hairs in the shower. It was also noisy with traffic and loud drunk people outside on a Friday night in the middle of the night

It was perfectly located, near to all the places we were interested in seeing and a pleasant location within which to walk about room was a little small had we intended to stay longer - but given this was a stopover on a journey it was fine

Very friendly on site receptionist. Incredibly helpful storing bikes securely. Alerted us to option of eating breakfast via the Sunday market opposite hotel alongside hotel breakfast option.

Easy to find from the train station, friendly staff and clean, adequate stopover option. No elevator made the hike up to the 4th floor a bit tiresome, after a long days travel. The breakfast didn’t include options like cereals, but was still adequate.

Location. Noisey, outside and inside..1 night, ,couple arguing.

The Hotel De'Univers is in a great location in Caen City just opposite Caen harbour and 3 minutes from the castle & shops. There are good bars & restaurants very close by. Stefan, the hotel owner, was great & helpful & spoke perfect English. I paid a little extra for breakfast each day and got good value for that. The rooms are quite small but the bed is very comfortable and the rooms are clean and well maintained. I was able to park my motorbike right outside the hotel. There is a large car park opposite the hotel too. There is a large market on the harbour car park & street on Sundays that took me an hour to walk around....recommended to see. The front door has a key code, so you can come and go as you wish.

Property is centrally located The windows don’t keep out the noise. As the hotel is located next to lots of busy bars you will be kept up to 1-2am. It is a little but grubby and the whole building is a bit grubby.

Great location. Nice clean room and comfy bed. Nice to have a kettle in the room. Lovely staff
