Meritas Auberge Calangute Goa

Pool upstairs is amazing, location is very good - 25min walk to Calangute beach. Staff is very very friendly and helpful! I loved how manager Nadin greeted each table every morning. You can order drinks and food from downstairs restourant upstairs or in room. We loved here and when we come back, we will book the same hotel!

The staff was exceptional, they helped us out even during a midnight medical emergency. They were so helpful and accommodating to our every request. We are truly grateful and would highly recommend this place. Definitely a 10 scoring isn’t enough. The location was truly beautiful and tucked away from the busy streets for a nice and peaceful night sleep. The Hotel looks new, and the rooms were nice and big. The rain shower was amazing. The hospitality.

Our room was fabulous, location excellent for walking to the beaches and many nearby shops and restaurants. We only ate at the hotel ou food was beyond excellent. They specifically ordered us 2 pomfet fish and prepared them exactly to our taste to perfection. The staff welcomed us and interacted with us making us laugh daily!! Wow we totally enjoyed our stay.... actually now we're in Jaipur missing and still laughing about the awesome guys at the Meritas Auberge hotel Calangute. We highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Goa. The beach was beautiful and we felt comfortable wearing our bathing suits.We have never had so much fun interacting with such a fun bunch of good humans!! I loved the property. The staff was nice. Huge shout out to Miraj sir at reception who helped us feel like family. The pool is clean and food has everyday Variations. The hotel staff is also nice and the manager of hotel is super supportive and good guy (always greats nicely and one time gave me desert from kichten even when everything was cleaned up- kind gesture matters).

The staff is very courteous and always willing to accommodate most requests, which made the stay pleasant. The in-house à la carte menu offers good quality food, and the breakfast spread is particularly impressive with a decent variety of options. The bed and pillows were comfortable and suited our preferences well. At the time of check-in, the room was not properly clean. However, after I raised the concern with the reception staff, they promptly ensured the room was cleaned as requested, which I truly appreciate. That said, the bedsheets and pillow covers were stained, which I believe needs attention to maintain the overall quality and comfort of the stay.

Breakfast is always late, at 8am there is still no tea, coffee and some products, you have to wait until they bring all the products for about 20 minutes. ------------ Dirty windows in the room,

Ambience We stayed for 2 nights at this wonderful 4-star property, and it truly exceeded our expectations. The hotel’s ambience was fantastic — elegant, welcoming, and thoughtfully designed. The in-house restaurant was a treat, serving delicious dishes that made every meal memorable. But the real showstopper? The rooftop swimming pool! It was the highlight of our stay — perfect for relaxing while enjoying a beautiful view. Highly recommended for a comfortable and enjoyable getaway.

staff is courteous, breakfast n dinner spread was sumptuous great value for money

The property is just fine. Most of the staff were friendly and nice except for one at the reception. I chose this property based on the excellent reviews I read on Booking.com. Unfortunately I was in for an unpleasant surprise. The staff at reception was rude, and unfriendly. The pillows were smelly and when we complained they just changed the covers the next day. Again we raised a complaint and they brought new ones. the pillows had stains on them. They didn't clean our room on the second day until evening and when we raised a complaint. We had to wait outside until they cleaned it. The room service was bad too. The staff at the reception was rude when we complained that they didn't pick our call. We were traveling from abroad and were too tired and anxious to get to the property around midnight but the receptionist guy's response disappointed us. There were mosquitos in our room and the washroom had smell. The breakfast though expensive, was limited and the food average. The room was not sound proof. We could hear people talking aloud and music from other rooms.

The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Breakfast was also pretty good. Just maybe there was less continental options. But overall food quality and taste was amazing. Nothing much. Just that because of the weather, there could be moisture and a bit mold in the room. Bit the staff was nice enough to change our room because of that. Also the other room that we had booked didn't have a door for the shower. Only a curtain. So all the water used to come out.

Location is removed from the hustle and bustle of Calangute, but still an easy taxi down to the beach. Hotel was spotlessly clean. Staff were exceptional. Everything was good.

Beautiful hotel, the interior design is wonderful, the room is super comfortable, the staff is super nice. Probably the best hotel I stayed at. Location is good, short walk away from the beach. Food is good too. TLDR: Food and location: good. Interior design, comfort and staff: amazing! No beers? (I believe they may not have an alcohol licence yet)
