Staff is very good-looking overall everything is good ?

It is a basic hotel for amenities but the service by the staff was exceptional. Indrajit was so friendly and helpful. Also the man who helped us to get another blanket and change to a nicer blanket late in the evening when we check in made us glad we chose this hotel. We ordered the breakfast and it was inexpensive but hot and tasty.

I like the behaviour of the staff. The room and the bathroom size were decent. Nooodles is good to order. Ordered a double king bed; however, it was 2 single beds attached. The room mattress was not cleaned. The quality and cleanliness were really bad. The window glasses in the bathrooms are not good and is stuck.

I am a foreigner who has never been to Kolkata. I randomly booked my room because the Shila is both close to the Kolkata Metro and the Victoria Memorial. Luckily, I was very impressed with the service at the Shila. The concierge greeted me with fresh juice and helped me every step of the way. Breakfast was delicious and my room, while small, was clean and had crown molding and vintage mirrored beauty dresser, which gave it a hint of classic old Kolkata nostalgia. My friend, who is more knowledgeable about the area, said that the neighborhood was safe for walking alone at night. I highly recommend Shila International. Everything was in line with the price.

Nothing I had 3 days booking. 15.04 to 18.04.25. At first for one day and then for two days in continuation to it. I have paid the rent for first day on 15.04.25 itself via debit card. For the remaining two days on 17.4.25 also by using my debit card. The didn't give me any receipt from the hotel other than small online bill generated by the swiping machine. But when I requested for check out during early morning on 18.04.15 for leaving to airport, which is far away from the hotel, they prevented me from leaving the hotel saying that I didn't pay the rent for first day. I showed them my transaction details available in the phone issued by the bank, but they didn't accept it. I had to search even the waste bin to find the only small swiping machine receipt. The hadn't make any entry in the register about my payment made. Later I got the receipt and showed them. Then only they allowed me to go. This delayed my travel for one hour. I was able to reach airport just before closing the boarding. No wifi was given. The AC was placed in a lower level which very uncomfortable for sleeping due to its fan and air flow falling directly on my body.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the location was great, right in central Kolkata close to a lot of important locations. The facilities were alright, but could be improved significantly. The cleanliness could be improved, in addition to upgrading the bathroom facilities.

The staff, good, helpful and co-operative. Rooms and toilet not fully clean. curtains full of dust and blinds not operating. Rats roaming in room. Food is totally hopeless, seems like some roadside person has done the cooking. Tea is served in the smallest of cups. No electric kettle provided even after reminders. if this is the state I will not be able to stay here.

Everything is good. The staff is also good and this is near to prime location bit near to the US consulate, planetarium, Victoria memorial, and indian museum The location is near a dance bar and the music is so loud until 12 pm. So it is hard for sleeping until then
