A little hard to find but just follow the good directions from the host

I LOVED this property, and I would stay again in a second if and when I return to Kolkata. The location was excellent, the bed was comfortable, the view was lovely, the staff was kind, and I had a great experience there through the 6 days I stayed. Staying in an apartment building was wonderful, and by the end of the week I felt at home in Kolkata. I was very happy with my stay. There was nothing I did not like.

Super super clean. Everything new. We were only there for a quick overnight, but it was a comfy place to sleep. Communication was excellent with even a little video showing what the approach to the building looks like to make finding it a breeze.

Huge bright clean room, very quiet. Location good but initially hard to find, I arrived around midnight and the street numbers seem to be the same both sides of the road. The video sent before arriving is essential to watch especially if arriving at night. Excellent breakfasts. As a woman traveling solo I felt very safe. Highly recommend. I never met the hosts, only a very quiet man working there. The host was responsive to questions online but not a family run place as I expected. Still great though!

We stayed at Central Bed & Breakfast while recently visiting Kolkata. We had a wonderful stay and Jay could not have been more helpful! He was always willing to help out with any concerns or questions we had. He lives in the same tower so was readily available IF we needed him. They provided a substantial breakfast that kept us nourished throughout the day. Our room was very well appointed and had everything and then some that we needed. From bath essentials, a hairdryer, coffee/tea maker, an ironing board and iron, and an in room refrigerator. They even had a scale to weigh yourself. After an extended time and lots of food in India—I stayed away from that. Ha! We were also able to arrange for laundry service. That’s always a plus to be able to fill your suitcase with clean clothing. I also should mention we were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary and Jay was very kind and gave us a celebratory welcome gift. Very sweet. We also had a late flight out of Kolkata and were able to arrange to rent the room for a half day. THIS made a huge difference as we didn’t have to worry about our belongings until we’d officially left and were able to go on another tour that morning and come home and rest before leaving. Wonderful! Because this is an apartment building, some of the common tower resident areas could have used a cleaning. It did not affect our stay however.

Very friendly and attentive host.

Owner, Mr Agarwal, is a pleasant young man. Regrettably I met him for only 15 minutes during three days. Security guards were always welcoming. The bed was very hard- as firm as a rock! Though tired, difficult to sleep. The breakfast, prepared by house boys, is best forgotten- minimal and unremarkable. Get coffee elsewhere. Central location is deceptive as Uber is required to get anywhere. Walking in neighborhood is unrealistic. Old residential building.

We had a pleasant stay at Central BnB in Kolkata. The location is excellent, and the check-in and check-out process was smooth and hassle-free. A special mention to Jayant, who communicated with us via WhatsApp. His attentive and friendly support made a big difference—he ensured food was delivered to our door and made us feel well taken care of throughout the stay. However, we did feel a bit concerned about privacy as staff entered our room to fix the air conditioner without informing us beforehand, and they seemed to know our access code. The air conditioning issue did require attention, and although it led to a room change, it was resolved efficiently.

Good breakfast and staff helpful. Location near Victoria memorial park and shopping area, about 2km walk. Staff on site speak very little English but they can contact owner who does speak English, for you quickly if they cannot sort out problem for you.. Taxis seem to have difficulty finding the building where the b&b is. So tip is to tell them, it's next to the ICICI Bank along Sarat Bose ( old name - Landsdowne Road)

Superb

We were only there for two nights en route to somewhere else and again for one night on the way home. Place was comfortable enough. The landlord was kind enough to let us stay in the shared lounge after checkout till it was time for our late night flight. Eating places and places of interests not too far away, about 2km walk to some nice restaurants, and Victoria Memorial Park, etc. Doors work on digital codes- convenient if more than one share the room. Taxi drivers seem not to find where the building where the B&B is situated easily. Would have been helpful if directions to the B&B stated that the building it's in is next to an ICICI bank on the same road. The workers in the B&B speak a miniscule amount of English, but they would contact the owner for you to speak to should that become necessary. Lift is small - may have to take more than one trip for a party of more than 2 plus luggage. B&B is on 7th floor.

Courteous and efficient staff. Owner reachable easily . All queries answered beyond expectation. They take it upon themselves to make one’s stay a very smooth experience.
