Size of the room and bathroom were very small. Room was not comfortable. Didn't even have a chair or desk. The washcloths and towels were pathetic.
-
No storage space to unpack and water pressure was very low.

Location location location. Close to beach, dining, and shopping. Great parking. Bagel time and coffee. Balcony room. Quiet and relaxing. Even the downsides to the property were as advertised. After we figured out how long the water needed to run to get warm things were better. Lots of stairs and no elevator, but we knew ahead of time that we needed to consider no elevator.

Beautiful hotel, very friendly staff.

The location cannot be beat. The hotel is directly across the street from the beach, and within walking distance of many restaurants as well as the Washington Mall. The large porch has ocean views, and it is enjoyable to spend some time people watching from one of the rocking chairs on the porch. The front desk staff aren't overly friendly. They seem to want to do the bare minimum to interact with guests. However, the housekeepers were very helpful, and always provided us with fresh towels whenever we asked. The only hotel amenity is free onsite parking, which is certainly great to have, but there were a few things that would make the stay a little more pleasant. It would be nice if there were a water cooler for filling up bottles or a pitcher of water always available or something along those lines. Maybe free coffee in the mornings? There just aren't any extra touches that make a hotel stand out.

Great location, love sitting on the veranda and the history of the hotel.

Little refrigerator in room did not work Bed was hard and uncomfortable Toilet didn’t flush well. Took shower very long time to warm and never got hot
-
The location was great! It’s a little outdated and the bathroom was very small and there was no elevator
-
Bathroom was dirty, used bandaids and floss picks behind sink and extremely moldy shower curtain.
-
The bed/mattress was uncomfortable.

Staff was so friendly and helpful. Great location, comfortable rooms and a great buy! Next time I will do second floor instead.

We loved the location! It was close to the beach, shopping, and the restaurants we wanted to go to. The only downside is that there isn’t an elevator. That being said- it’s a historical building, that caveat comes with the territory. We expected it and packed light so that it wasn’t hard for us to get all of our stuff to the room.

It was in the center of town. The rooms are old and dated. I was afraid to walk on the carpet in the room. It looked like it had been there for years and never washed. I kept my socks on the entire time and never went barefoot on the rug as I might have in a nicer place. The air conditioner was held in with two or three screws, and there were numerous openings where it flies in other bugs can get in and out. There is also no way to have your air-conditioning running and not have your curtains blocking the sun. I woke up every single morning with the sun blaring in my face because I could not cover the window since the air conditioner was there. Vacation to get some sleep getting up at the same time the sun rises is not any rest. They should get room doctors and at least cover parts of the window so people can rest.

Location was ideal, we were going to a concert at the Convention Center which was right across the street. Beach was right across the street as well. Room was exactly as pictured. We would stay again. All good, there's no elevator, but we knew that going in. We do love the charm of older inns.

Great location. Ocean view. Staff were friendly and helpful. Comfortable room for the price!
