I recently stayed at Hollow on the Square City Hotel CBD in Cape Town. The reception staff were wonderful and very welcoming throughout my stay. The room itself was humongous and offered plenty of space, which I really appreciated. The location is convenient, with about a pleasant 15-minute walk to the V&A Waterfront using the footbridge. Unfortunately, there was a noticeable musty smell in the room, possibly because it may not have been used for some time. The duvet cover also had quite a strong unpleasant smell, although thankfully the bed sheets smelled fresh and clean.

Pleasant stay. Good soft cosy big bed. Coffee machine lovely. Windows and curtains do let it cold wind on cold nights. Reception guy was a lil rude in approach.

The location and safe parking Every thing was of high quality

Bad wifi connection in room

Location is the high point and then the size of the room - so spacious! And the staff - so helpful and friendly The shower wasn’t the best but understandable given water issues in Cape Town. Also no water in bathtub- which should have been mentioned

Ok Cable T. V . Was poor

The staff were incredibly welcoming and approachable. The whole building needs renovation. It is old and not well maintained.. There is a lack of sound insulation; installing double-glazed windows might help reduce the noise. The terrace, while not currently accessible, could use a thorough cleaning, and adding some plants might significantly improve its appearance.
