What a spectacular experience here. The staff are UNBELIEVABLY GREAT. Unfailingly helpful, and above and beyond. Breakfast was fabulous every day. Fun location, walkable to Bo Kaap neighborhood, the Cape Hope Castle, and the AMAZING Marco's African Restaurant. What a super place, recommended (again) by the amazing staff. Not only was the food spectacular, the live music knocked my socks off. The bed was so comfortable, I tried to remove the bedding to see if I could buy it for my home. I'm not kidding. Room had a cozy robe and slippers to use, which were awesome. Bathroom was well appointed and supplied with toiletries. Everything was scrupulously clean. I heard some people in reviews complaining about noise of revelers, but I didn't have this issue, as my room faced the interior. The compromise was no view out of the window, but was well worth it to be able to sleep as that was all I wanted to use the room for! I stayed for 4 nights, and loved it. Can't recommend more highly. I know it's Winter, but it would have been lovely to be able to sit in the hot tub in the evenings, which wasn't an option. I was a little surprised, only because I would assume the idea would have been MORE attractive when the evenings are chilly than when it's hot out, but this was a TRULY MINOR issue, and I would not hesitate to stay here again on my next trip to Cape Town.

The hotel (and staff) had a lot of personality - it was both interesting and comfortable. While in an older building, the rooms were large and the bed comfortable. For the winter the claw footed tub (in addition to the modern shower) was a real treat. There was some local noise on First Thursday but it was lively - and the galleries interesting. We always were welcomed with a genuine smile and can highly recommend this historic place for a stay in Cape Town.

It was quaint, and well decorated Every night we heard a base (from music) and it went on through at least not kidding, 5am. Maybe a change of pillows as my neck hurt

Top notch all around. I had a wonderful experience the Cape Heritage Hotel. The staff was amazing; the room was quite comfortable (and very homey); the breakfast was fantastic. Great location. I thoroughly recommend to anyone visiting Cape Town! -

It’s a charming historic hotel with beautiful rooms. The cool art displayed throughout the hotel adds a great deal of interest. Our room was their “honeymoon suite” and had the most awesome elegant bathroom we’ve ever seen with a huge claw foot tub and a double shower. It was huge with a divan, double vanities and an art deco feel to the whole room. The bed was super comfortable as were their pillows. The breakfast is excellent with both a cold buffet and an à la carte menu of well chosen hot options. The staff are to a person very welcoming, helpful, and made our stay so pleasant! The location was perfect for us. There are so many great restaurants steps away. There can be loud traffic at night, but earplugs helped me and my husband wasn’t bothered by it. It’s a great character hotel!

The Cape Heritage may be my favorite hotel on Earth! I first stayed here when traveling to Cape Town for a conference with my father in 2006. We had such a wonderful stay that I decided to book again when my goddaughter and I were returning for vacation this year. I was excited but also a bit nervous after returning to a hotel after twenty years, one never knows how the experience will be after such a long gap. Thankfully, the Cape Heritage is like a fine wine and it has only improved with time! First and foremost, the staff are lovely … Sam, Muizz, Wadya, Bamford, and the others are less like hotel staff and more like family! They made every moment of our stay wonderful and we are so grateful for their time and care. They helped us so much with getting familiar with the city and really made us feel special. Beyond five stars! The breakfasts are an other highlight at the Cape Heritage, simply above and beyond in terms of quality and selection. Lekker! The rooms are exquisite, the property itself is historic and charming. The location is perfect for any Cape Town stay. In short, we simply cannot say enough about how much we love the Cape Heritage Hotel. I hope the whole team will all be there when we return next time, and we definitely won’t be waiting another twenty years! We liked absolutely everything.

Gorgeously decorated rooms! Very spacious room and bathroom. Comfortable bed and pillows. The staff was very friendly. They greet you at the door and handle everything from there. Location is good, walking distance to plenty of restaurants, bars, and tourist attractions. Generally safe area during the day, but check in with the staff to be sure. The hotel is in the city center on lively streets and there is some noise during the night. They are very clear about that, so it was no surprise. Nothing earplugs didn't take care of.

It’s beautiful. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

The loud music playing nearby until very late into the night and even after midnight was annoying and kept us from sleeping.

Amazing Boutique hotel with history in the city centre of Cape town. It was loud during the night.

Wonderful staff!! Great location, beautiful character and fantastic breakfast

Incredible hotel. Unique, historic with tons of character. Fabulous breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff make you feel welcome and do everything to insure your visit is perfect. Every room is different and uniquely designed. Huge room! Comfortable bed. Great location for sightseeing. Lots of security guys on the street to deter crimes. Never had a problem. Even on the First Thursday event right at the hotel and streets surrounding. Stairs up to a rooftop jacuzzi and area to have a little view. Just two blocks from the Hop-on; Hop-off bust office. Fabulous way to see Cape Town. Get the three day pass and do it all. Best HOHO we’ve ever done. No elevators. Only stairs to get to the front door and up to the rooms.

Really lovely hotel in the center. The staff was super helpful, rooms were very nice, nothing to complain about. Visit the Bouchon Bistro near by. Nothing

Lovely boutique hotel with unique rooms and artsy design. Great staff. We had a room where we heard the thumping beat of a nearby nightclub until 4am. Fortunately, the staff moved us to quiet room for next couple of nights.

We stopped at this hotel for the First Thursday Art Walk. The room was HUGE and the staff was very friendly and very knowledgeable about the area. The Wi-Fi was great and the hotel art was amazing!

Spacious room, super friendly staff

The staff were excellent and the breakfast was amazing. There are a lot of good restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. Sadly where the hotel is located is over a pub and we had people shouting and fighting during the night which woke us up so we didn’t sleep.
