Perfect location for a gig in Peak Cavern, local pubs and sites. Very comfortable room with a splendid bathroom. Really good food prepared to order. Very friendly and polite staff. No complaints at all. Even the price was significantly lower than the last time I stayed here in 2023.

No complaints, comfy clean room, nice property, great location, very busy (affected dining experience but complaint made re this). Main complaint was that staff were in and out of a staff only door opposite our room, constantly from early hours for about an hour. This affected our ability to sleep. Woken early and unable to get back to sleep. Door was banging and banging! No consideration given to the paying guest opposite.

The room was lovely and the bed was very comfortable. No TV signal and very weak wifi. It was a windy night in the valley and staff blamed this for the lack of TV signal. This didn't excuse the poor wifi though. The duty manager gave me access to a staff wifi account but this was just as bad. I was forced to hotspot to my phone which isn't really an acceptable alternative. The room I had was next to one of the boiler rooms which made it unbearably hot. This meant that while the bed was really comfortable, I didn't get a very good night's sleep.

Great location. We didn’t bring a car but would’ve been able to get parked fine if we had have done - spaces available on the street behind earlier on in the day. We were in the annexe behind the pub and our room was large and comfortable. Staff friendly and helpful when checking in and out. As we were in the room on the ground floor, we could hear every (very creaky) footstep in the room above us and on the staircase. The family above us woke us up twice by slamming the external door. We didn’t mention this to staff, as there was nothing they could’ve done but it’s something to be aware of if you are a light sleeper. Room very basic and nowhere to sit other than the bed or the one desk chair. Fine if you are out and about.

The property was extremely clean and just overall welcoming! A lovely place to stay! The wifi connection wasn’t great in room 2 but that was okay for one night!

The Castle is located right in the centre of Castleton . Its a beautiful building which has been sympathetically decorated and is run by very friendly, helpful and knowledgable staff. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend. The only thing I could think of is the insulation between the ground floor and upstairs.

The charm of the building, friendly staff & service. Plug sockets & USB’s in abundance and in practical places a rarity for most hotels. Nothing

We loved the situation, the bedroom and beds were very comfortable and the general character of the place. Nothing to not like!

We liked the accommodation alot and the staff were lovely it was very expensive for accommodation and an evening meal , although it was very good . I got home and I'd been charged for an extra meal that we didn't have ? I phoned and they apologised and credited my account

The location is excellent. We were there for a concert at the Peak Cavern. It is 7-8 minute walk away. The room was a good size. A hairdryer, a fan etc... Nice and quiet over night. It is a shame that the toilet is so close to the wall. Sitting on an angle sideways was interesting except for the toilet roll holder pressed against your ribs. (I am not over weight).

Great location, friendly staff. No air con, but they did provide a fan.

Location and parking. Comfy huge bed. Was quiet even though the pub was very busy. Great breakfast. Smelt a little damp, maybe just the room we had. Pitted bath (thought it was dirty but was just pitting) Dirty windowsill.

Perfect location It's a first world problem, but no WiFi or mobile reception in the room.
