Ye Olde Nags Head

Breakfast was very good. Rather noisy in public areas but was a busy weekend so quite a few children staying.

Great location. Restaurant menu states items are gluten-free, only to be told that this isn't the case. Very limited food choices due to items being unavailable. Expensive prices. Room was not overly clean. Very disappointing so checked out a day early.

Excellent location, right in the centre of Castleton. There is parking available nearby on a first come basis. The breakfast was very good, with freshly cooked options as well as fruit and cereal. We also enjoyed dinner in the hotel. Because it is an old building, access to the rooms is up flights of stairs so wouldn't be suitable for anyone with mobility issues.

Location absolutely fantastic. Rooms very clean and great value breakfast. Staff all friendly and helpful. Parking is limited and not guaranteed which can be challenging at busy times. We got a space in the car park so all good but felt lucky to get one.

Location is excellent. Spacious room good shower. Sofa bed was very uncomfortable & not made up despite booking a twin room and arriving later than check in time. Breakfast was standard & what award it’s supposedly won I have no idea. Milk was off and despite telling staff, the reaction was “ not again”! We weren’t even offered fresh coffees despite having poured the milk into our cups.. The large jug of milk on the table for guests to pour into cereals was also not replaced. Appalling slow service.

Central location Tatty and dirty. But fine if you’re only needing a bed for the night

Great location in a beautiful village. Lovely breakfast with lots of choice. Four poster bed was a nice touch. Good facilities. Rather dated and dark. So not good if you want something more modern. Could probably do with a bit of a refresh.

Its location was the best thing about the property. It is in need of refurbishment - the room carpet was worn, the window was held open with a brick, there was mould on the ceiling of the bathroom. The shower tiles and floor tiles were black in places. The plates which served breakfast were chipped. The food was cheap and not of great quality.

Great location, friendly staff, excellent beer and a tasty breakfast.

Central Location. Accommodation, room,poor bathroom cracked floor tiles, unable to close bedroom window,screwed open ,rotten window frames. Doesn't look like room has been decorated for years. Bed was clean.

Breakfast room looking out onto the lovely village street. Decent breakfast which was modified for my dietary needs with no fuss. The room was very unique and had a lovely view of the village. The water took a while to heat up in the bathroom. The key fobs are comically large!

Location was perfect Scenery amazing Breakfast was delicious and generous Bed nice and comfortable Excessive dust on surfaces. ( mostly on top of wardrobe). Shower was hit and miss (height adjustment broken,main head trickling out)

Room and bathroom large clean and comfortable with windows that open very welcome in the hot weather.
