Beautiful, clean and comfortable

This was such a pretty oasis in the city. The couple that runs it is very nice, and helps with any issues you may have while here. The breakfast was incredible, and they were lovely and drove me downtown when I was going to be late for a tour. 10/10 would stay agin!

One of the most welcoming stays we experienced in Sicily. The hosts were fantastic as well as the breakfasts. Francesco provided us with a multitude of recommendations for Catania as well as the rest of Sicily. All was great.

The room was a bit small, you can’t bring food to your room

Very green and atmospheric place. Nice owners. Good breakfast according to Italian standards, has fresh juice, fruits and good coffee. There were many mosquitos in the area and some of them got inside the room. A bit away like 30 minutes walk from the center. But it’s always have free parking available nearby so for the drivers a great place.

It's so great to go on vacation and stay at one of the nicest B&B.. You feel right at your parents' place. Mirella and Francesco take care of you and consider every little detail. Breakfast is pretty colorful and very appetizing? They offer you great tips on places to visit so you can enjoy every moment of your stay until the last minute. The interior is gorgeous and designed with a lot of love. Definitely worth a return visit.❤️

Francesco and Mirella were the perfect hosts - nothing was too much trouble. They rustled up a delicious light supper on my first night, lent me a raincoat and offered to collect me because I hadn’t been well. Breakfast was excellent - a varied choice and delicious coffee. This place is a haven of comfort in a busy city. Mirella and her husband work incredibly hard to make guests feel at home and to ensure that their experience of Catania is a positive one. The rooms are well-equipped and the beds are good. The decor everywhere is vibrant and unique in style, bringing a warmth to the whole environment. The outside space is beautifully done, with many plants and fruit trees. Breakfast is outstanding with an exceptional variety of choice and everything very tasty. A kettle and fridge in each room were much appreciated. The taxi service offered from the property is a real boon. The surroundings are definitely urban and it is a 20/25 minute walk into the city, but you can ask for a lift or catch a bus if you don’t fancy going on foot. We very highly recommend La Foresteria as a great place to stay.

It’s a beautiful garden in the center of a busy city. The host couple are lovely, helpful people. They drive you to the old town themselves. They arranged airport transportation for us, which was tricky because we had bicycles. They were most helpful. The room was nice. It’s in a very remote part of the city so not a good fit for tourists who want to explore the historic old town.

A remarkably colorful and clean enclave in a rather littered Katani. Amazing breakfasts and very helpful hosts. Even though the location on the map may not be encouraging, it is within walking distance of the center; the bus stop is a few dozen meters from the B&B, and once a day, the host offers a lift to the center.

Merilla and Francesco are fabulous hosts, very friendly and made our stay very special. Breakfast and testing menu ( tipical sicilian) was delicious. Beautiful room (red room) with balcony , cleaned everyday, lovely garden. We definitely will back in future. Mirella and Francesco we miss you. Everything was good for us.

Despite our departure being as late as nine in the evening, Francesco and Mirela graciously offered us the option to stay in our room until our departure without any additional charge. While the accommodation may be slightly removed from the city center(2km) Francesco's willingness to assist guests with transportation negates any inconvenience. Whether it's guiding guests to the best local markets or waiting at the bus stop to ensure a smooth return journey, their dedication knows no bounds. In summary, La Foresteria is more than just a place to stay; it's a sanctuary where guests are enveloped in Sicilian hospitality at its finest. Francesco and Mirela's genuine care and attention to detail elevate the experience to new heights, earning it a resounding recommendation of 10 out of 10.

The hosts took incredibly good care of us! They really went above and beyond and we’ll always remember our first days in Sicily because of it. Our room was great, very comfortable and the big terrace was a super bonus. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful and the garden courtyard that surrounded the entrance and dining areas we well cared for and a beautiful oasis to arrive to each night. Beautiful artistic decor. Really amazing hosts - Mirella and Francesco went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay. We had some problems with car rental on arrival at the airport - they gave us lifts, sorted out a rental for us. Great recommendations on what to see and where to go. We will stay again. Nothing

Internet access was unstable

The hosts are exceptional. They go above and beyond to be helpful! The BnB is wonderful - clean, large and comfortable. We really enjoyed our overnight visit there. It was a bit hard to find with Google.

Hidden gem in Catania. Beautiful garden, lovely room. Truly exceptional breakfast with many Sicilian treats. A warm welcome from our hosts Mariella and Francesco who had thought of every detail for our comfort and convenience. We had a very comfortable room with a large terrace and a well-appointed bathroom. We loved the colorful plants and fun decor. We took advantage of shuttle service from the railway station, from the B&B to the city Centre, and from the B&B to the airport which worked well.
