    Great location. Quiet and comfortable.

Location that’s it 1. Lights in entry way are not on at night Makes it very difficult and unsafe to walk three flights of stairs to get to your room . When I told the staff about it in the morning, they did not even care or apologize. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to my worst enemy

Very comfortable with helpful staff. Impressive historic property in the old part of town. Short walk to the centre. Lots of restaurants nearby. Great location. Nothing negative about the stay.

    The room need some renovations

  • Engine customer Apr 2025

Location is ok to visit the main attractions of Catania, 10' walk and you are in the center of the city View from our small balcony was lovely, very Sicilian!! The lovely lady at the reception was very nice and helpful. Bathroom was old and not very clean. Showering there was not a pleasant experience The main disadvantage of the hotel is the very loud music playing from a club next door until the early hours in the morning.

The bed was huge, and - it really is a Palazzo :), not just by name

    Disappointing

  • Engine customer Mar 2025

Very helpful reception staff, helped me with late check-in and airport transfer. Wi-Fi is fast and stable. Sound insulation is non-existent, and loud musicfrom the outside made it impossible to sleep until 3 AM.

Very nice with old chic atmosphere Everything was good

  • Engine customer Jan 2025

Nice service at the reception The walls are so thin that you can hear even the person in the other room sneezing or moving a chair. At night, terrible noise on the floor above, the room is much smaller than in the description. Wet sheets on the bed. There is not even water to drink. This is definitely not a three-star standard.

Great location, nice design, very professional staff Everything was good

  • Engine customer Nov 2024

Rustic, original architecture, high ceilings No fault of their own. Next to a building site / renovation works. When that is finished it will be a nice open area in front of the hotel

I like the location and nice staff. I added breakfast to my stay and felt like real Italian :) Good place to come back! Everything was good

  • Engine customer Oct 2024

Location A lot of steep steps with luggage. Taxi refused to take up to the back which was mane 5 stairs

  • Engine customer Oct 2024

The room was quiet The air con did not work. The bathroom cup was dirty. No glass or water and mini bar was empty. Curtain hanging off rail. Very run down and to call it a hotel is not an accurate description l. More like a pension for budget travellers.

In a great location. Beautiful old heritage building which would have been very grand in its heyday. Staff were very helpful and carried our bags up the two flights of stairs for us and down again on departure. Also got us a jug and tea bags so we could make a cup of tea in our room. Would stay there again if in Catania. Just don’t expect 5 star but you are not paying 5 star prices. The pillow needed replacing but that wasn’t a big issue

Close to the station, and super comfy bed, spacious room. Easy self check in. Clean bedding and towels. You have hand soap and shower gel provided. The bathroom is run down, the shower cabin needs to be deep cleaned as there are water stains everywhere, the shower was broken. No air con in the room.

Our stay was in the Deluxe Double Room, on the second floor. The room was spacious, high-ceilinged, and had an en suite bathroom and a small balcony. We did not experience any of the issues mentioned in the negative reviews on here. If there was any noise, it was no more than the general hustle and bustle of Central Catania at nighttime; it's a lively city! The staff were very accommodating about out late check-in also. The main door to the 2nd floor slams a little loudly, but this is true of every heavy door in Sicily.

    Poor

  • Engine customer Aug 2024

We read a lot of reviews where people said it was very noisy there so we were worried about it but it was very quiet and there was no music to be heard at all, so it either depends on your room or cause the stripclub near was closed (it's been closed the whole week that we were there so I'm not sure if it's working at all). The location is excellent. We were travelling without a car and the location was perfect for us. Everything was near - Via Etnea 3 minutes away, plenty of restaurants, cafes and shops, the bus stop of the bus D that'll bring you to the beach is 10-15 mins walking distance. The staff is nice and helpful. Interior is superb, ceilings and furniture are beautiful and the balconies on the floor are very nice and cozy. The bed could be more comfortable, the balcony in our room was not cleaned for a long time, it was dusty. No elevator (was not a problem for us but it's not suitable for disabled people)
