B&B Palazzo Tornabene

The location was perfect. Tucked away near the Opera House and just down the street from Piazza Scammacca. They have an amazing food court there and very friendly staff. We stayed in Room 4 our first stay and it had a balcony overlooking the busy restaurants below.

Our room was perfect - totally comfortable, updated but with the charm of an historic palazzo. The balcony is sweet, but the double doors in our room completely isolated the outside sound from the restaurants below. Giorgio our host was attentive to detail and provided touring information in many languages. Everything was great!

Nestled in an imposing building built in the 1700s, this charming room made me feel like Juliette in search of her Romeo. The balcony overlooked a narrow street with three delightful cafes, all of which were crowded with locals. Tucked far from the tourist traffic, but still close to the major sights, B&B Palazzo Tornabene was the perfect choice for a single night, or a whole week.

Location - easy access Location - noisy because many restaurants underneath

The location is beyond ideal. You are right in the heart of Catania, close to the cathedral, Via Etna, and tons of nightlife (Bar Boheme, Razmataz, and Orange Pub are just up the street). Giorgio was also very responsive and helpful. For the value, you won't find a better spot. The beds are very firm. Personally, I didn't care for it. If this is your thing, you will absolutely love this place.

This is the best accommodation of our trip! Located right in the old part of Catania, with a gorgeous balcony, large room, excellent facilities, on a little street with a great vibe! However the room is quiet as it has sound proof doors to the balcony! The best part is the wonderful host Georgo - so helpful with great suggestions on what to do and where to get great coffee and food. I highly recommend this place, book it now! Nothing!

Everything was amazing! Giorgio have contacted me before the arrival and gave all the necessary information regarding the location, and asked us if we need to store luggage before the official check-in time. He even gave us instructions with different transportations and the map how to get to the place. Upon arrival, he welcomed us with smile and such kind energy. He gave us hints where to eat, and where to go. There is also a 3 day guide to stay in Catania in the common area. I have noticed there are even some umbrellas next to the door which you can use if it rains by any chance. The room was on a busy and popular street, but there are two sets of windows, so it eliminates all the sounds from the outside. But we prefered noise and kept it open to enjoy the music and street performers walking around the area. Lot of amazing restaurants and bars around to enjoy. And if you are lazy, there are popular restaurants and bars next door. The location is amazing and everything is in a walking distance. I would gladly come here once again! EVERYTHING was amazing!

Good location for seeing places and being centrally located. Not so good if you want quiet nights. Noise during the night until 2 am and at least one morning very loud noise as early as 5-~5 am from shop keepers or 1000s of empty bottles being picked up! Street noise, difficulty in coordinating check-in due to no one being onsite.

Can be a little noisy at night. The bars and restaurants stay open late and they are always full. Not loud enough to make me not want to stay here. Just loud enough that you can hear it. If you have trouble sleeping, maybe wear ear plugs.

Giorgio was fantastic! Great host with lots of information to share about the area. Rooms and facilities were spotless… the nicest we stayed in during our two weeks in Sicily!

I can't imagine a better location in Catania. We knew it was in the centre but unlike other centrally located accommodations, this one was in a very nice area, away from traffic, just around the corner from the two main squares/landmarks but at the same time in a pedestrian street (actually limited traffic zone for residents only) with two very small squares on both sides full with great restaurants. With the lights in the evening, the whole atmosphere felt like you are in a romantic movie. Coffee, tea, water provided complimentary. Very beautiful small balcony to start your day on enjoying the peace and beauty of the area. Very spacious and bright room. The shower cabin was kind of small.

Giorgio , our host, has welcomed us and made sure we have all that we needed for our stay. Useful information, tips and tricks around the city included. The apartment was clean and cosy with all that we needed. Location is just perfect: close to the bus and train station, restaurants etc. We came back again to Catania for additional night and needed some additional support for late evening check in - Gorgio ensured the all is taken care of.
