Best Western Charleston Inn

Bed sheets were not cleaned. Fan in bathroom was covered in dust. Shower had mold. The thermostat is not accurate. Door frame was not sealed around the exterior door. Pool was not working.

Dirty, smelly rooms. Don’t do it sorry for this comment but it was bad

This hotel is a rundown property that needs to be refurbished. Although is old, it could be more clean and better taken care of.

booked there for the price. However, sinks did not drain properly and there was a roach found in the bathroom. You get what you pay for

Room was clean but the AC barely worked. The pool was closed. Staff was friendly.

The bad: The safe deposit box did not work. The pool was closed. We had to go to the front desk to get towels each day. Overall, we were happy with the property and we enjoyed our stay.

Breakfast was great. Room was ok had a drippy shower which was constant and we had to listen to it . We did report it to the front staff to get it fixed. Thanks

Lots of roaches and palmetto bugs, both dead and alive on the property. I almost checked out right away, but the room was clean.

The lady when we checked in was great. Later that evening we found that our room was infested in American cockroaches. They were in the curtains, and on the wall. When we let the front desk know, there was no apology. This left us with no hotel. There was no vacancy at other hotels for miles. Turned our trip into an absolute nightmare.

Great location. Great staff Booking.com claims this property allows more beds for more guests as a third party ( booking .com) telling us ( the customer) that the merchant ( best Western) could offer more beds however this is not true. Booking.com claimed that we would get 2 queen beds + a twin bed. We only received 2 queen beds. Best Western only offers 2 queen beds. I even reduced our stay to one night instead of the 2 original planned nights. Because who wants to sleep on the floor? Shower curtains are short so when taking a shower, it floods the bathroom causing a safety concern. Make sure to ask for 6 more towels to soak up the flood from shower.

I did not stay because at check-in, we were told they did NOT have a room for us despite my verification I rec’d from Booking.com The staff member was condescending—I watched him repeat the same type of behavior with others trying to check in.

The pool was clean and nice and the room was fine. The whole complex basically smells like weed. That really doesn't bother me too much but the room does as well. No cleaning service at all during your stay btw. On a 4 night stay we needed toilet paper and the front desk said they were out and the lady and guy didn't even seem to think it was a big deal. We doordashed toilet paper. So if you're staying here bring your own TP!

I booked to stay an extra night, but I had to leave because of a family emergency. That was on May 24th and I emailed and called numerous times and no response plus no refund of my money and it’s June 15th. Not nice

The property needs an overhaul. There were years of wear in the tub/shower, the carpets, the chairs, etc.

Really nice people, really nice place.
