Room noise next door was a problem late at night . Front desk did assist with addressing. You can hear through the walls quite easily! Also the train is so close-it’s super loud !! Coffee was promised at 6 am, I went to lobby at 8 am and no one was at the desk and no coffee had been brewed.

The location is fantastic, and the decor and amenities were top-notch. Upstairs unit had a slight amount of noise, but the location is absolutely fantastic and I would stay here again no problem

It is a charming, quirky, 1960s-themed place. Super clean and very well-maintained. The only shortcoming is that the hotel does not have parking available for guests. You must park on the street or use nearby municipal parking spaces. The good news is the municipal parking building is just a block from the hotel.

The staff members were very helpful with suggestions/recommendations where to buy flowers, fruits, where to find coffee and breakfast. The only thing missing from the room was a closet and hangers. There was brewed coffee in the office for free in the morning. Great time to chat with staff.

Comfortable room, fun decor, friendly front lobby A bit noisy at night especially when the train comes through. Our phones couldn’t mirror the tv for additional watch options, no coffee brewer— it was instant.

It was walking distance to the historic Charlottesville downtown and UVA. It was a very cheap stay for one night and you were walking distance to various restaurants and sightseeing in the historic Charlottesville region. The front-desk staff is super friendly and they offer you complimentary local-roasted coffee in the morning. The hotel staff looks like they are aware of their location near student housing that they provide free earplugs and eyemasks to help you sleep. The place has a cute 1950s beach house motel aesthetic, so the decor is very cute. The unit we stayed in was very clean and looks newly renovated. Parking was a little tricky because you have a choice of free on-street parking near the student rental houses or pay an extra $20 for a spot in the nearby parking garage. We chose the parking garage, because there was a summer orientation party that happened in early July 2026 that we were unaware of, and the entire district around the hotel was filled with students partying and hanging out. If you want a quieter stay away from any student partying, this is not for you. We stayed in a first-floor unit, and above us there were a bunch of partygoers walking in and out of their units and we could hear talking, music, laughing and footsteps above us. If you go during a time when students are finished their semesters or during a time away from summer student orientations / events, then this is a great place to stay.

Loved this sweet hotel and its friendly staff! Very walkable and we had no trouble finding a parking space nearby. Would have loved to try the Mod Pod - maybe next time.

Cute, efficient, well designed, and FANTASTIC location 3 minute walk from UVA campus and tons of eating options at great prices. Staff was helpful on every aspect. The record player with Senatra was a hoot! No parking on the premises (street parking or $25/night at nearby parking garage), but hey, that’s Charlottesville all over.

Unique and fun property with a 1960's design - both exterior and interior. It even included a 1960's pink princess telephone. But the motel had the comforts of 2026 with a jumbo size TV, comfortable bed and pillows and large bathroom. Each room had a record player with records. I was excited to spin some 33's but both the record player in my room and a second I secured from the lobby were broken. The staff said they were not familiar with how they worked and could not offer any assistance. Bummer! Parking is a block away at a public garage. The hotel offers an in and out garage pass for $20. Garage is somewhat rough around the edges. A number of restaurants beginning in the adjacent block. Even with a few disappointments, I would definitely return again.

Adorable, clean and ample size room. 60’s motif was really neat.

This is advertised as a hotel but is a motel. My daughter and I arrived at 9:30pm and there was no one there and instead, a sign to call a sister hotel. The light in front was blinking and I didn’t feel safe staying. I tried to get a refund through the hotel and Expedia as we did not stay and both refused. Absolutely terrible
