Marine Chaweng Beach Resort

Great location on the beach. Nice restaurant on the beach, good and affordable food. Girl who works at the reception in the afternoon is very nice. As many have said, it's a bit run down. Old and very basic, but you get what you pay for, considering the price. Would be nice to have some towel hooks and hangers. Old, rusty fridge. Water too shallow to swim.

Awesome place on a quiet area of the beach. Yes it’s in need of some renovation like some previous reviews has pointed out but if you’re ok with it not being a 5 star resort that’s no problem. Staff are very friendly and the owner super nice and helpful. The first day my girlfriend wanted some seafood from the menu but they were out. The next morning the owner informed us that he went fishing on the morning and now her request was available, that’s what I call good service!

The only positive was the kind and professional receptionist in the morning, who spoke fluent English unlike the owner, who couldn’t speak proper English and used unprofessional, street-level language. I even told the owner that this young lady should be the one running the place, it’s often employees like her who keep a business alive, while some owners have no idea how to treat customers. At the very least, the owner should learn from her own employee how to properly deal with guests. Terrible Experience – Avoid at All Costs! I had one of the worst hotel experiences of my life here. I booked 2 rooms, received confirmation, and arrived late at night only to be told by the unwelcoming and extremely rude lady (who claimed to be the owner) that only one room was available. When I showed the booking confirmation, she dismissively said, “Go ask Booking, it’s not my problem.” After arguing, she offered us a so-called “VIP room” for all of us, with one of us expected to sleep on a sofa, and demanded extra payment. It was midnight, we had no choice but to accept. The sofa was horribly uncomfortable – I couldn’t sleep at all and stayed awake all night waiting for sunrise just to leave. As if this wasn’t enough, the next morning we lost the room key. I had already asked for two keys at check-in but was told only one was available. When we requested help, she falsely claimed we were given a safe box key, which was never provided to us at all. Then she demanded 4000 baht, saying there was no spare and they’d have to replace the entire safe — clearly a scam just to take money. When I refused, she became loud and aggressive, screaming at me in front of her staff and guests. I asked her to call the police, and even then, she continued her wild behavior, even throwing a water bottle in front of the police. Shockingly, the officers, who didn’t speak much English, seemed to side with her. Eventually, my friends insisted on paying her just so we could leave and avoid ruining our trip over someone acting completely unprofessional and out of control. This place is a complete disaster. The owner is aggressive, dishonest, and runs the hotel with no ethics. It’s shocking to face such treatment, especially in a country as welcoming as Thailand. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this hotel.

Cheap accommodation on the beach Isolated and dark on the beach at night- not lit up. You get what you pay for. Cheap accommodation for basic place. Gaps in doors for bugs to get it. Needs major renovation

Location was good, near beach and restaurants The room was so awful , I don’t like to ever complain however I felt i was staying in an extremely run down spot where I almost had to leave . Room was mouldy , stained walls, an overall bad room

Property had perfect location in Chaweng, right on beach front and was cheap and good value for money Facilities are slightly out dated as room had cracked walls as well as sockets just about holding onto the wall

The location Room was old and not maintained. There was no shampoo. The door was broken and bearly locking. The window was so thin I could hear every single noise.

location was great. In the heart of Chaweng although quietly nestled on the beach. Aircon was good very quiet rooms Avoid this rat hole. Room 602. Horrible, old, dirty, rotten bathroom falling apart . No staff after 22:00, room was not ready was not cleaned and there was noone to help (lovely security guy just passed me the keys) No coffee machine. Serving instant Nescafe coffee for breakfast
