Holiday Inn Express Chester by IHG

The actual situation does not match the online description. The bathroom door is broken, the carpet is covered in wine stains, very dirty, and smells terrible.

Very clean place to stay.

Rooms were clean but had an odd smell to them. You can not control the AC in the room they must be preset or something. Breakfast was lackluster. Can’t give it a bad rating because it wasn’t bad but it’s just nothing special.

Clean and friendly staff. Allowed us into our rooms about 30 minutes beforehand. Really appreciated that! Employee on duty was very personable. If they offered complimentary water, definitely 5 stars. Also one elevator and one person stall for hallway bathroom. Only reason not giving 5 stars. But would stay again. Also traffic can be heard in your room so keep in mind if needing complete peace and quiet.

Below is a list of my complaints that are unacceptable: The elevator provides a nice jolt as it stops, ensuring you spill your coffee The bathroom does not have bars of soap anymore and the "body wash" is a joke. The air conditioner would not cool the room and it had a quaint musty smell to it The refrigerator in the room would not cool off and spoiled all of the items I put in there The the sheet had a stain that reminded me of the flag of Japan The towels that I dried myself off with, had a smell that has stuck with me all day(and not in a pleasant way) A hotel with the Holiday Inn express name has certain standards and this particular location does not meet any of those standards except for the cinnamon rolls...

Staff was very friendly

The room was nice and cozy. The price for stay was great or reasonable. The staff were amazing. The breakfast at the Chester, VA Holiday Inn location was the best breakfast I have ever eaten at a hotel in years. . This location was close to restaurants and stores. There was a casino about 18 minutes away call the Live Casino

Staff was very nice and helpful. Breakfast was very good. The bed was very comfortable.

The room was clean. The breakfast was more than adequate.

The room was good with two queen beds. However, the bed felt damp and there was a vibration all night coming up into the bed. It was very annoying. Felt like something below us was vibrating all night.

Could use some upgrades but very nice for the price. Good area with lots around it.

I didn't like the air vents in the bathroom was full of dirt ,and shower bracket was loose where you put your personal shower gel or soap,please clean those vents!!!! BREAKFAST VERY GOOD, PARKING GOOD,I will still book the Holiday Inn!
