Travelodge Nimman Chiang Mai

Excellent service and a beautiful location

The included buffet breakfast was amazing. It made things simple for us in the morning, as we used it as a starting point. The breadth and selection of the buffet was actually very good. It had something for everyone. Seating was plentiful, so you did not have to wait to be seated. Staff were courteous and efficient. That's all you could ask for. At the moment, there was nothing I disliked about my stay at the travelodge.

For such a hotel, it was weird that they didn't have anyone help me take my bags to my room. I had to go by myself and no one to really show me where to go. That was disappointing. There is also no real cupboard space but I was there for only one night.

Staff was polite and helpful. I accidentally left something in the room and they were very helpful in retrieving it. Location was close to nimman and made it walkable, but technically it was on the other side of a busy road, so kind of difficult depending on the time of day. Rooms smell like stale water, and the bedding is some kind of synthetic crap that makes you sweat the moment you touch it, no matter how cold the room is. There were no sheets to get under ... barely slept every night, and I would have left to another hotel if Chiang Mai wasn't literally fully booked for new years. I'll say it again ... truly awful bed ... kind of hard to even understand how a major hotel ever purchased crap like this. Left me sleep deprived the entire trip. Will never stay at a travelodge again. Invest in some appropriate bedding for the climate.

The property was clean and well maintained. Hard to find such in changmai. Location was convenient next to mall and food streets. Breakfast was the highlight, it had mix of thai and international dishes that we found all dilicious. Price was good for what you get. Staff was also so helpful. Definetly recommend if ure looking for a stay. The room was small, the was no window to open which left the room humid when leaving the shower

The location is perfect — close to many popular restaurants, markets, attractions, and shopping malls. The hotel staff had limited English proficiency, which made communication difficult at times. There was no lobby service to help carry our luggage to the room. Important information, such as the free tuk tuk service or buggy ride, was not provided in printed form. To check or confirm details, we had to either take photos or go to the service desk each time.
