We loved POR Thapae! It was in a great location, far enough away from the main street that we had a quiet stay despite being there during Songkran, but close enough that we were steps away from everything. The staff was courteous, and the rooms were clean and spacious. The pool and breakfast were a great bonus and overall we would recommend!! No complaints!

Every staff member was incredibly friendly and always smiling, especially toward children. They made us feel so welcome and comfortable — just like coming home. Highly recommended!

I love this place! I have stayed there several times. I love the modern vibe. The pool is gorgeous. The breakfast buffet absolutely amazing with a vast array of food and drink. The staff are extremely attentive and warm. The rooms are immaculate and the beds are sooo comfortable. I always get a good night's sleep there. Set back from the main road so it is quiet. My favorite accommodation by far in Chiang Mai!!

We loved this little gem. It was right in the middle of Old City and walkable to everything. The staff was especially wonderful and free water, snacks and breakfast was truly the highlight of this place. It was nice coming home from a long day out and enjoying some fresh fruit. We will def love to stay here again. The value for the quality of room, amenities and cleanliness is unbeatable. We loved everything....there really wasnt anything that we didn't enjoy. For the value and quality of the room and professionalism of the staff, we loved it. Nothing to complain.

Everything. The staff were wonderfully friendly, helpful and efficient. The location was ideal, near everything but set back a bit from a busy street. The food availability and pool were great, the rooms clean and comfortable. Nothing.

Great location, easy to get to places outside the old city. Located on a very quiet street. Staff were fabulous. We were well taken care of. They provided a list of things to do, see, eat and all of the ones we tried were excellent suggestions.

Perfect location. About 40m off the main road, making it very convenient, yet quiet. Breakfast spread was very good, with the usual toast, jams, with overnight soaked oars, yoghurt, local Thai hot food. Staff will offer us cut mangoes every morning. Excellent service Cut fruits, coffee and tea available at all times

The hotel is well organized and very close to the city center, where everything is lively at night. The room was excellent—clean, comfortable, and the shower was amazing. We especially loved the fresh pineapple and watermelon always available in the lobby, which was a lovely refreshment after long travel days. Overall, this hotel is great value for travelers who plan to spend most of their time exploring the city and outdoors. The only small downsides were the lack of a closet (less convenient for a longer stay—we stayed 4 days) and a slightly short shower curtain, which caused some water to leak onto the bathroom floor.

I checked out two hours earlier. Five minutes later, I returned because my flight was suddenly canceled, but the staff refused to give me my room back, claiming that housekeeping had already started cleaning it.

Hmmm...I need to come up with something so that the readers of the reviews know that I am being straight forward. The pressure in the cleaning hose was a bit much for those certain areas.
