PE-LA Thapae Boutique Hotel

They do towel arrangement, welcome drinks and gift, complimentary breakfast ( croissants ) with drinks. It is next to thapae gate, easy access to both sunday night market or the night bazzar. It can be a bit dirty outside the hotel, since 7- 11 next door. Very crowded on saturday and sunday. They still use keys to lock doors instead of key card.

Beautiful accommodations and great location for accessing the different weekend night markets. The room was a little small for the price and no breakfast included, although there were pastries and drinks always available in the lobby.

The location is perfect! Super aesthetic clean place. The King room was smaller than I expected but still a very good room. Super cozy, clean and comfortable.

No laundry area and no breakfast.

It was very nice and clean. The welcome drink and keychain was a nice touch. It was right next to a 7-11.

We liked the location and the ambiance; great decor. Lots of privacy and the staff was very kind and attentive! The shower took a very long time to warm up and the bed was not the most comfortable.

Location: This is the absolute winning point of the hotel. It’s very central to most places you want to walk to and very accessible via Grab. It’s right behind the Thapae Gate, has a 7-11 right beside the hotel, the Chiang Mai Walking Street/Sunday Market is literally just about 30-40 steps away, and pretty much everything is only a 15-30 min. walk away. Cleanliness: The hotel is very new hence everything is pristine. From the lobby to the elevator, from the bedroom to the balcony to the restroom, everythign is spic and span. Don’t forget to put the sign up the door if you want your room cleaned. Hotel Staff and Service: Everyone was helpful and polite; they’re not overbearing or overzealous but were always so willing to help with a smile when needed. While the hotel doesn’t have a restaurant or cafe nor room service, every morning there are drinks and snacks at the lobby that guests can help themselves to. A thoughtful gesture in addition to the candies and fruits at the waiting area and the welcome drinks upon arrival. The hotel room also comes with coffee pods, tea, and two bottled water for guests. Room: The room was a little smaller than what we expected (Superior King Room) but we made do with it and it was quite sufficient for us. Note that if you have two big luggage, one will be mostly kept closed and upright as there’s not much space for two open luggage. They do provide ample cabinet and hangers so just make sure to unpack the clothes you’ll wear for the duration of your stay. The bed was good; I didn’t have a terrible back which I often get from hotel mattresses and the pillows were just right (no neck ache either after waking up). Minor con is since the hotel is on a busy road, you could hear noise from nearby establishments until maybe 10 PM? This dies down before midnight. In the morning, you could hear the vehicles running over the steel reinforcement on the road so this might be a small issue if you’re a light sleeper. I just kept a black screen sleep video on through the night to help me sleep; my partner didn’t have any problems though sleeping through it all. Non-guests also sometimes use the patio/seating area in front of the hotel after buying stuff from 7-11…this is usually fine but  they often leave trash on the table or don’t bring the chairs back to their original position after moving it around. Hotel guests on the other hand mostly keep to themselves and clean up after they use the hotel amenities.

Too clumsy and small of rooms

New hotel (opened in may 2025), everything is top notch- the room quality is wow, very clean, great shower, comfy bed and lovely staff. Location is great as well.
