The room was impeccably furnished with local Thai artisan crafts. The bed was very comfortable. There were enough outlets. The shower was large, and the water was hot. Towels were soft. Tamarind Villiage is the antidote to a lovely but anodyne Marriott.

The most beautiful property, everything is so well cared for, staff is attentive. It feels like a luxurious respite from the loud hustle and bustle of the city. The food is incredible, spa is wonderful, just truly outstanding!

This is a very well run hotel with plentiful staff who are genuinely interested in your well being. The location can’t be beat and the pool and the grounds are well maintained. The rooms are a good size with comfortable beds and a good shower. Great breakfast. It was wonderful to have a tour of the significant places in the city as part of the stay. The guide Mini made it so much fun, she’s a joy to be around. All good

Family friendly, location, staff. We were traveling with daughter, husband, and grandchildren. Tamarind Village was except for us. The grandchildren loved the pool. The restaurant had plenty of choices for breakfast and very good dinner menu. We like the variety of the design of the rooms - not cookie cutter hotel rooms. We had a standard double room and a suite which we could use to gather in. One of our nights was a Sunday so we were able to experience the Sunday Night Market. Fun and a lot of vendor food choices close by. Staff was very helpful in helping us set up a day trip to Dio Inthanon National Park. Great check-in experience. No negatives

The atmosphere was relaxing and luxurious. The staff were great. The breakfast was exceptional. We found the room quite dark with the lighting provided.

The cool, hidden location..in the middle of things but a quiet oasis. The pool water/chlorine burned. Comparatively overpriced.

Location Dark room with no outside seating which we’d been led to believe there was and a lack of anywhere to sit comfortably and have a drink. We tried twice and were made to feel very uncomfortable for being in there at home 10pm despite a closing time of 11pm. Equally on our first day we decided to eat in the restaurant and a large group who were clearly very n some kind of familiarization/sales trip came at same time so we were ignored. The rice arrived for our dish when we had actually finished and no apology. I understand the importance of these sales groups but we are revenue paying customers who deserve better. We also generate revenue! It’s a shame as the place has potential but the service lets it down badly.

Fantastic location in the midst of old town, yet very quiet and peaceful. Beautiful facilities and friendly, super accommodating staff. I can’t wait to visit Chiang Mai again, and will certainly stay at Tamarind Village again when I do!

Friendly staff The hotel room is so old and dark despite I booked the biggest room in the hotel. Definitely not value for money.

This is a beautiful hotel in the heart of Chiang Mai! Despite being very central, it’s set back from the street making it so tranquil and zen. Breakfast is served in front of the stunning pool and the food is fantastic. We’ll be back!

Beautiful buildings and setting, helpful and friendly staff and good food at the restaurant. Quite a small communal area/pool for the number of guests & noise carries between rooms.

Ideally located in the old town of Chiang Mai. The restaurant is so good that we never ate outside.
