The dorms were clean and the host was nice The bathroom was really dirty, it was basically outside (like a pool bathroom) and it had cameras. Nothing like the photos. Also the 4 ppl dorms were actually 8.

Showers could be better, one had a broken lock.

I usually don’t like super simple places but this one won my heart. It’s cozy, felt so homey, the owners are extremely sweet and loving, and it felt like I was around family. She cooks fresh food by order, the place is super peaceful. I can’t recommend enough!

The curtain hanger of lower bed is quite short. I'm 1m70 and my head almost touch it. If you're 1m8 or higher, mind your head. Only me and 1 guest in the 14 beds dorm the day I stayed. Understand why

Great place. I’m traveling with my mother (68yo) and my father (60yo). They stayed in the private room upstairs and I stayed in the shared room downstairs. Host very accomodating as we had to do a late check in. Thank you ka!

This is a cozy and comfortable place to stay in a great location in Chiang Mai! The family that runs it is nice and accommodating!

The host was hospitable and cute old lady. Very Thai tranditional house. Felt chill on the 2nd floor.

The best part of the stay was the sweet owners. The husband knew no English but made every effort to smile, laugh, and joke. He was very sweet. The wife is a good business grandma. She treated me like an honored guest, especially when no one was around. She fondly shared the food she prepared for her new year's celebration with me one afternoon. Eventhough I stayed for a week, this hostel is good for travelers who want peace and quiet, who stay a day or two, or who want this area of Old Town to be their hub. If you are under 35 years old and younger or prefer hostels with more people traffic, then this hostel may not be for you. Many people stopped here before going to Nimman or more lively spots. I enjoyed having only one or two other persons to share the space with for a day or two at a time. The wifi is good but the there is no room or space to do online work. The upstairs seating area is nice but the wooden chairs were not comfortable over long periods of time. There were plenty of outlets, though. The hostel looks nicer and fancier in the photos than in person. The communal area downstairs looks lived in, like it was an extention of the owner's home versus a part of the hostel. The mattress was a bit uncomfortable, especially when I slept on my side. They toilet stalls and showers were clean enough but could have used a deep clean or touch up. While the owners sprayed or lit coils, the amount of mosquitoes in the hallways (without roofs), near the sinks, stalls, and showers were annoying.

The couple/hosts were very nice. The room/suite could have been more completely furnished.

Didn't know hv 2 urban bed location in Chiang mai

I don't actually know how this hostel was because when I arrived they were overbooked and sent me away without providing any assistance on finding a new place to stay during Chiang Mai's busiest 3 nights of the year when every hostel in town was full. They took down my information to provide a refund but over a month has passed and I still have not gotten my money back even after I have reached out to them and to Booking.com. I'm really frustrated that I am still out the money when not only did I not stay there, but they left me in an incredibly stressful situation as a female solo traveler having to suddenly find a new accommodation for 3 nights. They also did not inform me when they realized they were overbooked, they just waited until I arrived around 6pm - but there were other travelers who were turned away earlier in the day, according to other guests who were actually able to stay there. They could've easily sent me (and the other 7 travelers who were also turned away at the same time) an email informing us when they realized, giving us more time to find a bed before nighttime.

Nothing really, everything was exceeding our expectations.
