Hilton Garden Inn Chicago Downtown Riverwalk

Enjoyed our stay. Room was small but well equipped (Nice wing back chair by window was a great addition. Looked newly renovated. Glad no carpet so that’s a major plus. Bathroom nice and new. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Front desk person who checked us in was so helpful. He put us on the 18th floor because less traffic noise. However it was still loud up there but quieted down eventually. Location was perfect. Able to walk across to river walk and to the Pier. Only Con, and it really wasn’t a big deal but the lobby is quite small. Only stayed for a weekend but enjoyed our stay. Would highly recommend.

Super clean rooms with all you need and great staff. Rest of the hotel not much to write home about. Location right where you want to be.

We were disappointed that we missed the fact that this Hilton property does not have a pool or hot tub or included breakfast. It is nestled between other buildings so you have nothing to see from windows but other buildings, but the location is so convenient to transportation and the Riverwalk that I would stay agsin

Loved this location ; very close to most of the main attractions in Chicago . Staff were friendly . Room was spotless ; bed was comfy . 10/10

I also don't understand why a bottle of water is $2.50 if you are not a "honor member". I've never stayed at a place where a bottle of water is not complementary.

The concierge was extremely helpful. They made my visit a pleasant one. I had a nice room. Everything turned out well!

One of the receptionist is tough and aggressive

Amazing! Loved everything about it. We showed up at 11 hoping to drop off bags and see the city. To our surprise they offered us a room and we were about to rest a little after the flights. The front desk staff made suggestions for dining option when I asked and the room had both a microwave and refrigerator. This location was close to everything and I would definitely consider it again when in Chicago

Would we stay again? Probably not as there are many hotel options in this area. It was okay, not great.

Check out was 12 pm next day, front desk wanted me out of the room at 10:30 am because they explained I had checked out at front desk at 10 am. Staff was trying to get into the room at 10:45 to clean. Lastly, front desk was fairly curt in style of conversation with basic questions. I don’t usually knock businesses in reviews, being an owner myself …. and HGI has been my favorite hotel chain. It might just be Chicago energy that explains, what appeared to be, a resonant tension with staff. My guess is that management of this hotel is not aware of the tiny details in following the national management philosophy.

The toilet is broken and it makes a continuous noise every time I flush it. On top of that, I was given a room on the second floor with two AC units right outside the window, and they are extremely loud. I can’t believe I’m paying $250 a night for a room like this.

The property a/c ran hard and loud. The bed had loud noises when you move and the outside noises disturb your sleep!
