Homewood Suites by Hilton Chicago-Downtown

Staff at breakfast were so kind and hospitable. Pool was great, too. So nice the suites have a small kitchen, very helpful with small children.

Nice place to stay, could use updating.

The staff were wonderful, very helpful, friendly, and efficient. The suite was perfect for traveling with our grandson and he greatly enjoyed the pool. The breakfasts were well done and the Wednesday night snacks that were provided were the perfect end to a day. The hotel location was great for visiting all the attractions we came to see.

Great spot; it is within walking distance of many shopping stores and the river. There was no hot water on 1 day, which was fixed later that day. The pool was a bit cold. A lightbulb was flickering in the room. Some of the furniture/spaces were a bit deteriorated, but clean. Overall, a good stay.

The room was dirty and simply worn out. Floor tile grout missing. Wall paper in bath peeling. Bed was sagging in the middle. Couch was horribly uncomfortable. Valet said it would be 30 min for car but it took 1 hour. I would not recommend this hotel in Chicago to anyone.

Close to downtown, breakfast was great, rooms are clean, nice staff

The staff was outstanding. They went over and beyond to assist you at all times. Special shot out to Jeremiah, Lacey and Courtney who made the stay so memorable. They are all true gems to this Homewood Suite.

We had to request to change rooms because the couch/sofa bed in our first room was so dirty and old. Yabi was very helpful. He saved us and moved us to another room. The couch in the second room was still old but not as dirty. We still put a sheet over it before we sat on it. And Yabi gave us a foam pad to put on the couch mattress to make it sleepable. Breakfast was decent and staff were very nice.

Everything thing was great. Only feedback I would say is the couch in our room should be replaced.

Great location, the area seems safe as well. Spectacular views at the skyline. The room was equipped with a microwave, fridge, freezer, stovetop, and sink, making it very easy to prepare meals. Hotel offers good breakfast, highchairs for babies are available (you can also ask for one to be delivered to your room which is great for parents!). The breakfast team was absolutely wonderful, kind and welcoming! Huge shout-out to Jeremiah and Lacey for making everyone at breakfast feel so warmly welcomed. They were incredibly helpful, took the time to chat with guests, and did a wonderful job entertaining the children. What touched us the most was their genuine kindness and warmth towards the kids, it was truly special and rare to see. The whole experience was absolutely lovely - thank you so, so much! Unfortunately, our experience with the front desk staff was not great. The service felt unfriendly, with very brief responses, visible impatience, and a lack of willingness to help. Even a simple question about the possibility of doing laundry at the hotel seemed to cause frustration, making us feel as though guests were an inconvenience rather than welcome. This had a significantly negative impact on our overall stay.

Passable

This hotel we perfect for us! The suite was a nice size for 5 girls. The staff was excellent. the location was prime and the building was clean and well kept. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to others. The only slight complaint was the pull out sofa bed wasn't very comfortable. if you don't have any one staying on it, then its not a problem. The rooms were great otherwise. They do offer the option of a roll away bed as well.
