Homewood Suites by Hilton Chicago-Downtown

I had an issue with the sink where the water was going down too slow and the stopper was broken to where i could not get it opened. The hot water took between 5-10 minutes to come on when taking a shower when I turned it on all the way. The room had a funny smell to it that we had to sleep with masks on.

All good generally speaking. Sofa a bit old. Queen bed and bathroom were great. Breakfast quitte complete and staff fantastique.

Pictures looks nothing like the hotel hotel looks ran down and old and it had a bad smell to it hotel hard to find

However, the hotel is showing its age. The furniture is old, the shower head wasn't working, there was peeling paint on the bathroom ceiling. The kitchen wasn't stocked (no dish soap or sponge, no microwave, not convenient for cooking). And the laundry room has only 2 washers and 2 dryers. One of the washing machines was broken for over a week and doing laundry was difficult because of high demand.

We have enjoyed the staff who was very helpful and nice to us. The hotel is perfectly located downtown Chicago, we walked everywhere! The pool could be a bit warmer and the pool deck could be renovated.

Clean, amazing location, confortable I’ve had an issue with the management that could have been managed differently, it was all dishonest. If your stay don’t need any change of what was planned I do recommend stay here.

Staff was exceptional. Room outlets need updating. They were pulling off wall when we’d go to pull our chargers out of them. Other than that, this place has all you need. Great location and breakfast is plentiful with great variety and very friendly employees.

The location was great. So close to so many places to see. The breakfast was good. The pool was nice. The sofa bed was uncomfortable because of the thin mattress. The mattress in the king suite bed wasn't firm enough.
