The Royal Sonesta Chicago River North

While the room was clean and comfortable and the staff was great, the Wi-Fi was horrible. It took a couple of hours to download and upload a small document. I did a speed check and the speed was incredibly slow. I would not recommend this hotel for a business trip if you plan on using their Wi-Fi.

I really enjoyed my stay here! The room was nice, spacious, and had lots of windows, which made it feel bright and inviting. One of my favorite features was the deep soaking tub—it was perfect for relaxing. Check-in was quick and easy, and the front desk clerk was very welcoming. I also really appreciated the complimentary bottle of wine they gave me for my birthday. That thoughtful gesture made my stay feel extra special. Overall, I had a lovely experience and would definitely consider staying here again!

We had a great room, clean and good size. I enjoyed the terrace after an evening dip in the pool. My search criteria was a roof pool with a cityscape.

The location was great. Walking distance to many places or near public transportation.

The hotel itself was very clean and well taken care of. The staff were some of the nicest people and very helpful. Definitely will stay again when back in Chicago.

Great location! Very walkable to lots of restaurants, bars, the river walk, etc. The staff were the most friendly and professional I have experienced. Every one from the valets to the cleaning staff. It’s not the most modern looking hotel but it was very clean, smelled amazing !!!, and the bathroom had nice bright lighting and strong water pressure. The pool was freezing but who cares — it was fun also clean and well maintained. They did serve coffee in the am - but they put it out kind of late in the am. But Starbucks is right behind the building :) Would stay again for sure.
