The valet parking was horrible housekeeping did not clean our room and the room needed updates. Toilet paper holder was falling off in the bathroom.

The staff are very pleasant and the location is excellent. However, the room advertised as King does not have a King bed, it's a Queen. The room was a bit beat up: scratches, paint damage, etc. and linens (towels, sheets, etc.) were just OK. The edge of the shower is graded incorrectly, so water puddles on the floor. Lastly, multiple times the elevator floor was dirty; they may not have enough cleaning staff to keep up.

Room was a little outdated but everything else was fine.

Great place

The Godfrey Hotel Chicago is in an amazing location. Central to everything from shops, eateries, and landmarks. My only issue with this hotel was the upkeep. Scratched up furniture, rusted bathroom fixtures, scuffs on the wall..drawer handles falling off. For the price they charge it should of had more upkeep on the furnishings and overall look of the room

All great

I was charged the security deposit after check out and front desk staff was not helpful in terms of providing a refund.

I do like the common areas the Greek restaurant and the rooftop bar were great The girl that was working the reception in the morning, June 17 was very rude. I did not catch her name. We booked two rooms. A double and a king size suite. We paid for an upgraded bigger suite and all it was same size as a double room with a different partition. Instead of a king size bed, we got a queen size bed. The dresser was broken. The refrigerator in the room made a loud noise all night. The toilets were running all night. We were next to the service elevator and it was very loud. The TV in the bedroom didn’t work. There were no coffee supplies. Overall, I think the hotel rooms are rundown, and it should reflect on the price. I would not be recommending this hotel in the future.

Clean room. Cool vibes

We arrived at 2:00 AM exhausted, stressed, and ready to finally rest. What we were met with instead was one of the most shockingly rude and dismissive customer service experiences I have ever encountered in my life. The front desk agent told us our reservation had been "wiped" and that there was nothing he could do. He showed zero empathy, made zero effort to help, and essentially read us a list of twenty hotels he claimed were all full ...and then wished us luck. He did not offer to call anyone on our behalf. He did not apologize. He did not lift a finger. Three adults, stranded in Chicago at 2:00 AM, with nowhere to go. We had to find our own Uber, find our own hotel, and pay $350 out of pocket for an emergency room at the Congress Plaza. We didn't get to sleep until nearly 4:00 in the morning. The Godfrey took our confirmed reservation, cancelled it without notifying us, and then treated us like we were the problem. I would not wish this experience on anyone. Stay far, far away.

Good location. Nice hotel with spacious rooms. Easily walkable to everywhere.
-
Reasonably priced. The blackout shades in our king suite didn’t close completely so light got in, and not good water pressure. But otherwise fine and in a good location.

I have very good experience

First of all, I prepaid my stay. When I got to the hotel they made me pay again, overcharging the amount I had paid for. After a while taking to Expedia over the phone, they reversed the transaction. ( still pending after 5 days) The hotel has “hidden daily fees” of $27 for amenities. $77 for Valet parking. To be honest wasn’t what I expected. I ended up paying much more than what was expected.

Great location!

Everything was good. The only thing I had a problem is with the AC. It was very hot in the room. They came and fix it, but it was still hot but other than that everything was good.

The rooftop bar staff was exceptional.
