Great place to stay rooms are on the smaller side but very clean. The concierge and staff are beyond helpful 10 out of 10.

I have always enjoyed my stays at the Viceroy Hotel, and I have had many, what has been VERY disappointing is the upstairs club on the roof, While the food and drinks are spot on, the service can be very slow. The club says it’s open until 12 midnight, however, at 11 pm you will be asked to leave, with your drink, with the manager standing over you, very rude, and made to leave. I have addressed this with tbe front desk and have been told that that is not the policy but this continues to happen, clearly there is know correct communication happening, just the runaround. It’s very embarrassing to have guests come and then be thrown out of a hotel bar of the hotel you are staying at!

The best part about the hotel was its location. Very. Conveniently located - walking distance from magnificent mile, several restaurants and subway nearby. The beds could have been more comfortable, especially the pillows. I also wish the pool was open later.

Location is awesome Lots to do around the area.

We were underwhelmed. $94 per night for parking. We waited 30 minutes for a bucket of ice (to chill a bottle of wine). If you don’t pay extra for a lake view, you’ll be looking over an active construction site. The lights in the bathroom were very dim. The rooftop pool was fine. If we had to do it over again, we would have picked a different hotel in the same general neighborhood.

Perfect boutique hotel on a lively but still neighborhood vibe part of the Gold Coast. 1 minute walk to great restaurants. 5 min walk to Oak ST Beach and the lakefront. 7 min walk to Mag Mile. Also a wonderful rooftop pool, while not huge, is STILL very nice. Next to pool is an indoor/outdoor lounge with full bar and great views from the 18th floor. On the ground floor you have the attached Somerset restaurant with covered patio seating looking right onto State Street. And a great “chill” area also covered with couches and chairs for just people watching/ working etc. Great vibe. Highly recommend.

The property was absolutely beautiful, with lovely interior design. The location was perfect. Close to main attractions, yet neighborhood feel.

Gorgeous, sexy hotel with sophisticated decor throughout. Rooms are decently sized, decorated with custom furnishings and big, big beds. Bathroom was fabulous - modern art painting hanging over the bath!!! Definitely worth paying extra for a lake view room: the whole wall is window from floor to ceiling and the view was mesmerising. The rooftop pool is just fabulous, and at night the rooftop turns into a swish bar area with great cocktails. The location was perfect, right on the Gold Coast with restaurants and pavement cafes on the doorstep - buzzing, glamorous and safe. Lots of stores and amenities nearby, 5-10 minute walk to top of Mag Mile and 30 minute walk to the Tribune Building. I loved this hotel and never wanted to leave. Minor details - the pillows were not quite firm enough for me, also the closet was small and lacked proper drawers.

Great staff. Great rooms. Construction was close and noisy, but that’s always expected in a big city.
