The Grange was the best accommodation of our New Zealand trip. This is a historical residence, beautifully restored with all the modern amenities. The room was very spacious (we got a free upgrade), the lady host was friendly and efficient and it is situated only 10-15 minutes away by foot from most attractions, restaurants and bus station. In particular, we liked that the host provided us with breakfast the night before, when we informed her that we had to leave early the following morning. Thus, we could have breakfast in our room before departing.

I chose to stay at this motel because it was close to the city centre without the huge price tag. The room was spotlessly clean and had everything I needed. The heat pump and electric blanket were also welcome additions. I would definitely stay here again. Nothing, it was very good.

Excellent central location. Lovely spacious room a and bathroom. Note you can't use stove top unless you open all the doors/windows as no extraction fan. I didn't need to so didn't bother me.

It was a handy location and had off street parking. It was comfortable and quiet with no road noise. I was greeted cheerfully by the lady owner, (I presume) in the morning Bathroom floor was stone cold and there was no heater. We were a little perturbed that our credit card details were demanded, with only an explanation when we challenged this. We had prepaid in full

Very good breakfast. Had a medical emergency while staying and the staff accommodated us well. Able to extend our stay for 3 extra days. Not very much

The Grange Motel was a little surprise. Well presented room with comfy bed, large bathroom and lovely courtyard. Great location with on site parking. Very obliging, friendly staff. Location is excellent within walking distance to most things. Hop on hop off Vintage Tram stop nearby.
