Hotel Palmeras Chula Vista

DISGUSTING HOTEL do NOT stay here unless you are extremely desperate. Everything about this hotel is sad and gross. The rooms haven’t been cleaned well, floors are dirty, there’s stains all over the walls, and there’s rust everywhere. Paint is peeling, ceilings are full of dirt and cracked. The toilet splashes you when you flush it and clogs easily. The water pressure in the shower is a JOKE. Seriously, the water pressure from a water faucet is better than the shower head. Another thing is when you try to plug something into the electrical outlets, it just falls right out. This place is falling apart, I will not be back. Book somewhere else, trust me, you won’t regret it.

The room was clean but the bathtub was stained yellow. Outside near the stairs it smelled like urine. There was a lot of parking which was good. A few homeless people in the area though.

Great place to stay and very convenient

I didn’t have high expectations since the price was relatively low, but the first room they gave us had a terrible smell, and there was a dead cockroach in the bathroom. We notified the staff, and they were very understanding and kind. They apologized and assigned us to a much better room.

Had issues with our key card 2 times which was annoying but staff was helpful and resolved issues quickly

Drain in bath would not stay up and sink water was only hot water. Jacuzzi every time I stay there has some sort of malfunction. This time the heater for the water was broken. Location is great....I would stay there again

Friendly staff and the ladies from the front desk very helpful and the housekeeping staff were very friendly and cordial with us.

It's a much older Motel so to me the cleaning was good with what they have to work with. Some things look like they could probably be replaced but that's no fault of the cleaning crew. The front desk was nice. I did ask for more coffee pods and they were a little adamant about how many I could have. I was staying there three nights it's coffee pods and powdered creamer. I don't think that's that big of a deal to give your guess more coffee when they ask for it. Didn't have much trouble parking, at night time it gets a little full but I still was able to find a parking spot. Takes a long time to get hot water in the evening for a bath or shower. The pool was beautiful very clean! A hot tub should not be advertised if it's not going to be hot. That was a disappointment.

Was very pleased with our stay. We were there for a week and our room was serviced almost every day. Could have used a quick sweep midway because of sand tracked in, and we ran out of toilet paper and had to go to the front desk to ask for more. Besides that, it was great!

It’s a good place for what you pay .

It was probably just an act of nature, but the lobby really did smell. The first bedroom only had hot water and smelled of pee like the lobby. We got another room next day and then the water went out completely in the whole building for probably 10 hours. Construction crew and all. Then our second room somehow the shower had a trinkel of water and kept making a weird bad plumbing noise until you manually released the shower to bath knob, back to shower mode almost every two minutes. The staff was amazing but the stay experience was sad for 5 days. The pool just got fixed but the hot tub was out of service and green.

Hotel was overbooked and air conditioning did not work. I booked 2 rooms, and the room on the ground level was gross.
